Oh, look, it's Stormtrooper aim, stereotypical chiselled protagonist, stereotypical black supporting character and stereotypical weak, agile and probably stealthy female character.

My, my.

now that I take a second look at the video

I noticed something...

that's Coach in a COG suit

hory shet

also, at the end

anybody else thought of the cyborg midwives from System Shock 2? =P
So essentially Cole? :p

There's only one reason why they're releasing this game: they're preparing us for the future of Japan.

If the TRAILER is badly written, you can bet your ass that the game is going to be badly written. Seriously- I cringed....a lot. "Let the good times roll"....that's ROFL hilarious. If they think catering to western audiences means throwing a couple of terribly done Mr. T references......
And did anybody else notice how shitty the robots' aim was? They had clear shots like 10 times because of these three jackass' cocky and over the top tactics and they missed every bullet.
Any sort of Mr. T reference has me sold.

idk, I only played the first 2 levels of Gears of War (the first one) so... yeah

also, despite what everyone may think, I'm pretty optimistic about japanese robots

I see like they would be the only ones who stand a chance against Terminators and hacked RoboCops and shit

The characters are stupid stereotypes...the 'fighting' is stupid...inefficient and needlessly flashy...did I say stupid? Annoying one-liners...oh...and why has the dude the spare ammunition for the chick? Why can't the robots hit shit 10 inches from their noses?

Graphics is PS2-niveau...

I kinda like the setting with the mechanoid upper class...but other than that it is really uninteresting...

Looks really bad, a japanese version of the Terminator, that is all
That's pretty harsh.

And did Terminator have that plot twist of cyborgs (people with robotic implants)?
Speaking of which, that was a good fairly predictable plot twist :p

I liked it at first but then the army soldiers showed up and spoiled it. Also why is the girl only using a handgun? That's just bat-shit crazy.

As a robot, I'm offended by this portrayal of wanton killbot murder as a sport for humans.

That said, we can always build more killbots. :)

The original script for Terminator: Salvation had a frikkin' awesome plot twist before it was leaked to the internet. There was a thread about it in the New Room a while back.

But then how do you know which ones are evil and which ones are nice? X3
Yeah, ok, it is pretty stereotypical but I'm gonna rely on that very annoying but true saying:
Never judge a book by its cover.
Or in this case - a game by its trailer.

I read about that too! It was pretty cool...and out of the box...
Never saw it in the end mainly coz it was too 'o teh noes, end of da worldz!' since a lot of post-apocalyptic movies were out around that time (Book of Eli, Resident Evil: Apocalypse , 2012 etc.)

They packed so many clichés into the first 3/4 of it I felt physically sick.

This will probably slip under my radar for this reason alone...

All of which disappointed me... Well, mainly Book of Eli, I didn't have high hopes for the others. 2012 was relatively entertaining though.

I understand, but it in terms of gameplay I predict a mix of Lost Planet with Vanquish.

Also they could change the color to what they want, in Dark Void all the enemies are blue-ish, they just need to have a standard enemy color and go from there. Since the robots look way too much like the Terminator ones they could avoid using his signature, the red eye.
