Looks really bad, a japanese version of the Terminator, that is all
That's pretty harsh.

And did Terminator have that plot twist of cyborgs (people with robotic implants)?
Speaking of which, that was a good fairly predictable plot twist :p
They had to change something, but its still preety shallow. Even the eyes are glowing red.
But then how do you know which ones are evil and which ones are nice? X3
Yeah, ok, it is pretty stereotypical but I'm gonna rely on that very annoying but true saying:
Never judge a book by its cover.
Or in this case - a game by its trailer.
I understand, but it in terms of gameplay I predict a mix of Lost Planet with Vanquish.

Also they could change the color to what they want, in Dark Void all the enemies are blue-ish, they just need to have a standard enemy color and go from there. Since the robots look way too much like the Terminator ones they could avoid using his signature, the red eye.
Or it could be an homage to the Terminator movies?
And intentional reference to acknowledge that something similar has been done but now it's their turn to try it out

Well, for the most part, the trailer was absolutely horrendous, but I'm not giving up on this just yet.

rewatch the trailer but this time imagine the robots are being remote controlled by gamers :)

also at the end turn the sound off so you cant hear the creapy "ITS EVIL" music and the clunk clunk maybe play something soft and soothing she/it isnt necessarily evil who says the robots are the bad guys in this?.

I have to agree with this.
The ending could have been truly powerful if say a nursery rhyme/music box song played.
If they're trying to make us rethink what life is, they probably shouldn't imply that the lady holding a baby (robotic or not) is some sort of stormtrooper rip off. xD

Exactly this. And maybe the story will not be directly cloned from Gears and it will provide a nice experience.

"PAY ATTENTION FOO!"
and again... the stereotypes shine through...
though it would be nice to finally have a game set in japan that isnt either exclusive to the PS3 or sucks.

looks like a terminator rip-off
Yeah "Wacky black guy", "Super acrobatic chick (with the stupidly small weapon)" and "Leader Dude" made me root for the robots.

That being said I think the D-bag squad might have been a much smarter take on the hero squad stereotype bullshit. I'm going to wait with interest.
