I think my first one was a 14 year old telling me to leave him be on Red Dead, even though he and his friend attacked me first. Still kicked their asses, and I was alone. He said the usual stuff about banging me out in real life and all that. Either that, or the first one was this asshole who was smack talking me. He saw on my profile that I was British and started calling me a fag and stuff. The guy was twice my level with all the best weapons and mounts and he wouldn't leave me alone. He said *I* was pathetic. Apart from those, i've only ever had nice messages. People congratulating me on a kill, etc. Xbox live isn't as bad as all that, if you know where to look.

I got my first hate message on Call of Duty 4 for the PS3 and it was a long one.

I can't really remember what it said exactly, but I'm pretty sure it was like every other hate message I got later on my gaming life.

I could break down this message into three different parts.

.Told me why I sucked, for using some weapon that is noobish. (God I hate that term)

.Called me the derogatory term for a homosexual.

.Finally made a mum joke before closing the message by explaining, once again just how much I suck.

Also for extra information the game type was a free for all and I didn't even do that bad. I came in second place with only three kills behind the victor. The guy who sent me the message, came in last.

I get so many hate messages daily. I can't remember my first one.

My favorites have always been "nice modded controller fag".

Yeah, my semi-automatic weapon is faster than your fully automatic one. I tap a button faster than your shitty gun can shoot while you hold a button. Get over it, and try not spraying.

I think you've summed up every gaming hate message ever. I usually message them back saying something like "That's super original. You're the first person to ever say any of that to me. Next you'll ask for a 1v1 and call me a scrub. Also, you forgot to call me "kid".". I love replying in correct English while they "txt sp33k" everything.

Gotta love it.

My first was from MW2. I completely wrecked a team with Silenced UMP, Cold Blooded, and Ninja. The entire match was me killing a few guys, disappearing, and then repeating. Even out sniped a couple of people with the ump. After the match I left to go eat, come back with a 1 by the little message symbol. "Oh" I thought to myself "perhaps it is another clan invite." Nope not this time. It was someone insulting me using a variety of words though they mainly had to do with the fact that I was black meant I couldn't use the internet, that I was a man with questionable sexual practices, and that I should go back to Africa which is funny since I am from Belize anyway which aren't anywhere near each other on the map.

I know what you mean, but I've since stopped replying to the hate messages I get.

Instead I read about one word, realise it's just another hate message. Delete the message and then I add that person to my block list.

My first hate message was on Call OF Duty: World At War, i had deep impact and he had juggernaut.

i absolutly destroyed him and he whined like a girl, it was a match made in...well..the lobby.

Edit: just remembered y funniest however, playing MW2 some guy was mouthing off pre-game about how he'll take his tenth prestige internet schong and pummel us over the head with it (less comedic than that but i refuse to talk like a moron) and then when we destroyed him and his random team (we were a team of 6 friends so communicating and planning is easy) he sent us all a message telling us that playing in this way was retarded and that we all had "sweaty armpits" for cornering him.

seriously, i use it as an in-joke now whenever i see a guy camping, it never gets old.

sounds like a real prick but you should always just ignore these types at all times.
I usually don't read them and delete them every time i do get them.

My brother's first hate message came when he was playing Tekken 6. It was a sore loser who said "you piece of shit spam grapple ******."

My first hate message came on Resistance 2 when some guy accused me of being a "lagger?" What does that even mean?

no actual 'hate mail' but i made one guy rage quit on SF4

i was Sagat, he was Ken, (as when i played when WHEREN'T they Ken), and i gotta prefect in round 1, and round to was looking to be a repeat, an he just buggerd off, coward -.-

then, there was the guy that didn't like how i played 'reactivly' in SF4 (still Sagat btw) an over the mic started whinny at me for not 'moving', i did, an he lost worse

lastly on Transformers WfC, i pissed this one guy off in death match, for killing him over and over, not even on purpose, he was just there every time i turned around, and since i have the mentality of 'IT MOVED!!! DUMP 3 CLIPS INTO IT!!!' i did >.> he was rather pissed and and can after me the next round or 2

as for actual 'mail' one, from SF4 an that was for a good match (against a Balrog)

Making me feel old here. Got a few:
CS (Yeah, the original - can't remember what patch...) - Playing on cs(de?)_aztec as CT, I picked up a MAC10 for shits and giggles and in the next round rushed straight to the double doors. Came across the entire other team (5 of them) at point blank range, sprayed and prayed, came away with 4/5 headshots, one normal kill. Mod was on the other team, got booted for hacking.
Age of Empires 2: Playing a late-age deathmatch, got abused for using counter units. I'll elaborate - I picked Goths, my opponent immediately picked Britons, obviously with the plan archers > infantry. So I trained mostly skirmishers, catapults and hand cannoneers, smashed his longbowmen and he sent some abuse and rage quit.
SW: Galactic Battlegrounds: Copped a load of abuse late in a game for building Air Cruisers. They're hardly game breaking, unless they're defended by a decent air force, or lots of AA and this sucker had given me enough time to build both.
And more recently, the only abuse I've copped is as a sniper in Bad Company 2. Each to their own, I suppose, but there are maps that are designed for snipers.

LOL. Actually I don't know if i'm the only one. But the hate message I got had NOTHING to do with how I played in MW2 but with the Xbox Live ID I have. It is not insulting to anyone directly but it is directed at myself only if you understand really, REALLY basic knowledge of Japanese language. If you have less than that, you will somehow get insulted by the name. I will not give the name, because I may get spam msg if I do.

Welcome to the world of online communication.

I've never had one, so I guess that makes me some sort of pure, undefiled internet virgin or something.

Never got a hate message on Xbox Live. Only invites and a message saying "lucky ass-shot" as I grenade launched a Helicopter on Bad Company 1.

Ahhhh, I remember it well....
One quiet night of TF2, one kid on the enemy team kept playing as the spy and hid in the exact same corner of TwoFort. I killed him, switched classes, and killed him again. This kept up until I had killed him a total of FIFTEEN times. He ragequitted and then sent me an XBL message saying how I always play Pyro and that it wasn't fair. Either all the class changing was a delusion on my part or the kid has really bad eyesight.

People sometimes rant on me because I don't use a mic.
Same here. Though I think it is in the other people's best interest that I'm not using it. Several months after I got my headset with my Elite package, it started randomly malfunctioning. When it does that, I can still hear people through it, but no matter what even if I am not talking, the person on the receiving end just hears a ear stabbing screechy-buzzing noise. I found out about the noise when my friends and I system linked our 360's and played Halo 3 matchmaking, when I turned my mic on, one of my friends jumped up, reached over and ripped the mic cord from my controller.

In Halo 3, I shot a rocket at a mongoose.

After the game, I got a message saying "FUCK YOU"

I responded with, "Excuse me?"

He said, "YOU DON'T KILL A GUY ON A FUCKING MONGOOSE"

I laughed because I could barely remember that uninteresting kill.
