Red Faction: It came out at around the same time as the original Half Life
If by around the same time you mean THREE YEARS LATER, then yes, around the same time.
So around the same time then, it was still in the same decade and generation of games, wasn't it?

I don't even remember that happening honestly... I'll have to have another look then.

I highly doubt I could change your mind anyway, especially over the internet and especially since this seems to be a big cause of hatred for you... Thought this thread was meant to be about things you enjoyed though...

It just irked me when people were like "INCEPTION ZOMG!" when it really wasn't THAT good.

And I couldn't think of too much I get slated about for enjoying.

Turning Point: Fall of Liberty I guess.

It was enjoyable enough.

I like Final Fantasy 12, but despise the others.

I thought Deus Ex Invisible war was actually pretty good.

I thought thief 3 was better then thief 2 (but not 1).

AVP (game: 2009) was better then AvP 2.

I liked AvP 2... maybe more then I should have. (films)

Cars was actually a fun film.

Metal Gear Solid 2 is awesome... and raiden is an interesting character.

I think I'll leave it at that for now.
I think you should leave.... Before you are chased out be pitch-fork wielding mobs.

Nah, just kidding, Thief 3 was still a good game. Invisible War had its moments (once you got past the ATROCIOUS beginning of the game where they basically screamed in your face to choose which side you'd be on from the very beginning) AvP2 (movie) was actually decent. Cars wasn't the worst that's come out of Pixar (I'm looking at YOU, Ratatouille) and I couldn't care less about MGS after the first game.

Oh yeah, you know? I totally agree with the FFXII vs. FFVII thing. FFVII wasn't horrible, but it set a horrible trend of JRPGs being more about the cut scenes than the gameplay, as well as establishing some pretty awful clichés in its characters. Some of it was salvageable, but it was mediocre at best I felt. FFXII actually started some neat trends that I'm disappointed they didn't continue with...as well as some bad trends that they did >_>

Me. I like me alot.

On a more serious note, the star wars prequels were better that the originals in my opinion. That is all.

I love generic FPS and dislike new creative IPs and indie games. (But mainly because I hate their fans)
[Indie enthusiast fanboy rage deleted for the benefit of us all]

Also, I can concede that some modern pop songs are admittedly rather catchy and actually pretty good (See: Power), rising above the usual benchmark of 'not objectively terrible'.

Another Star Wars Related one.
I LOVED the Republic Commando books by Karen Traviss. I don't give a damn if she hurt your continuity they are fine books.
Here's something to shut up some Star Wars fanboys the next time they mention continuity. According to George Lucas Star Wars canon is limited to the 6 movies, and the Shadows of the Empire book.

Well good for you. Frankly I find all the hatred and negativity on the Internet quite maddening. It's nice to finally see sombody say "No, I don't hate this!"
Although, I'm not sure what you mean by Grayson Batman

I liked FFXII (the pace is too slow to warrant a third playthrough for me, but lacking replayability doesn't mean I didn't like it). I loved FFX (best game I ever played). I am loving Resident Evil 5. I love Fable: The Lost Chapters so very much (played it over a dozen times through). I'm sure there are others.

Now the opposite, my dislike of seemignly popular things. I don't like most rap, metal or any of the music porduced by people with overly stereotypical black accents (they tend to either not haev a voice I liek listening to, or the topic-style combination of their songs tends to be unappealing to me). Oh, I also hate drinking (and while I don't like my friends doing it, I like their right to do it so I keep it to myself), smoking (this one is more than a dislike, it is a deep revulsion that turns my stomach), casual sex (similar to the 'drinking' thing where I respect people's rights to do it so I keep it to myself) ... hmmm anything else ... *thinks* that's it for now

Tron Legacy was fun, made me squee alot and was well written.
Speed racer was a brilliant, bright bright bright film.
Heavy rain had a good (allbeit patchy) story.
I like Americans, the French and the Scottish. (I'm English btw to put that in perspective)

And the one it pains me to say...

Playstation Move actually works and is fun...

This thread is like coming out! :D

Dick Grayson (The original Robin, and later "Nightwing") took over as Batman when Bruce Wayne "died" in the comics. Since then, i've actually found myself more fond of Dick than Bruce, i just think that if you had all that money/all those toys, you'd be able to find SOME enjoyment out of what you do. And even though Dick lost his folks too, he hasn't lost that youthful spirit...he's always cracking jokes, even as Batman. So I get the best of both worlds in the Dick Grayson character, all the badassness of Batman, but with the sense of humor of a Spider-man character (i always found the ones who have fun with it more enjoyable...Bruce was just a tad too emo for me...)

Kane and Lynch 2. I was sold on the look of the game when I watched the first gameplay. When it came out, I still liked it a lot. Sure, there's not much essence to the game, and the story isn't War and Peace, but I find it very enjoyable nonetheless.

Also Alpha Protocol. In the beginning, I figured that a game where you could shoot someone's head and they wouldn't die in the first shot was a broken game. After a bit of time, I eventually figured out what the game expected, and that I should just treat it as an RPG more than a shooter. Which made me like it a lot more than when I first started playing it. I actually think it did a couple of things better than Mass Effect (which is easily one of my favorite games).
