travel the world living as a supreme hedonist only pausing in my travels to A) have sex with gorgeous women B) Smoke weed and do drugs and drink C) use my inability to die to make money (Russian roulette anyone?) to cover my world travels. And when it all gets to be to much I'd get another brilliant idea and persue it for a (life)time and go on and on and on and on...and then on the 1 day when I begin to go insane/lose my grip on reality I'll use my last remaining bit of cognitive thinking to buy or steal a nuclear bomb and blow it up in my hometown while Im strapped to it...and if that doesn't kill me then shit...i don't know what I'd do

EASY!

I'm going to train myself in everything. Yes everything. Then in perhaps a thousand years, I should be the wisest creature on the planet.

Then I proceed to rule humanity.

Seriously, what else would anyone do? Human experience ought to become annoying at some point if one were to live forever. Give it a couple hundred years 'tll you feel like you need to be surprised.
[/b]
There is way to much out there to experience in one lifetime. To much to do and see. Even once you have already traveled to every corner of the globe, as long as people still exist there will continue to be more and more stuff to do.

The real question is "what wouldn't anyone do?"
That's a fairly optimistic way of looking at things, but I just don't think so. We have cases where people are world weary already. That is a real phenomenon where folk just kinda grow tired with everything and it is not necessarily linked to depression--but anyways, now, pile immortality on top of that, and what do are likely to get, eventually?
I guess some people wouldn't cope. We also have cases where people live full and relevantly happy lives. I don't care what some people did, I know who I am. I'm a glass is half full kinda guy really. I'm all for experiencing life as much as I can.

I mean sure, I might get tired of life eventually. But I think it would a long long time. Why worry about it now?

I would buy really seemingly worthless items and store them somewhere in my house where they'll be safe from things like a fire or water damage or whatever so I can sell them in about 100 years in mint condition. Seriously, those auction hunters guys on TV buy and sell little shit like a "corn husker" or old diner plates because they're a century old. Wait until compact discs and DVDs are are rendered so unbelievably obsolete that they become treasures of a lost generation!

Donate one of my duplicate organs monthly lol. Either that or go completely off the grid and pull of a couple of heists, and "fake my death".

Go through the military for a few years. By which I mean all of the military. Except Coast Guard, screw that. I have standards. (Before you get butt-hurt, stay outa the na-Imean this is a joke.)

And then go freelance for awhile or something. Buy some land, win the lottery a few times, and just be totally awesome.

I'm a Murphy's Law kind of guy: whatever can go wrong goes wrong.

I could easily see myself getting bored after a couple hundred of years. Doing science and creating stuff would end up being the one solid way of keping me entertained.

I think it is a longshot to expect to be the same kind of person after such a long time, so I bring my reasoning back to simple basics.

well, I would just live my life pretty normally as now, try not to draw too much attention, maybe move a couple times over the years, however, the kicker would be I would keep some old things, but some antiques and what not and take very good care of them, then sell them years and years down the road make tons o cash. Either that or just join the army, can't die so that problem is out, so Id eventually rise through the ranks and be epic.

Just wondering, us being immortal does that mean if we get a disease or something does it just disappear?

WELLLL after spending the first half of eternity struck with uncontrollable sadness due to the realization that I will probably be alone forever, I will spend the 2nd half of eternity dominating the world, creating a base in outer space, Nuke the entire planet forcing anyone who wants to live into underground vaults. Then i'll get my name changed and get some facial reconstruction done and appear as the Lone Wanderer, and end up saving the wasteland and then control the entire world under a single flag. ( WHICH IS what actually happened. The whole invasion of alaska by the chinese is a bunch of bullsh!t made up by ME before I nuked the planet)

I find myself agreeing with the positive outlook on immortality. I mean, even if you've learned everything there is to learn, explored every square inch of the earth, conquered every feat challenging mankind, and thoroughly immersed yourself in every culture, religion, and social gathering on the planet (we're not even getting into the lifelong achievements such as finding a cure for every disease, discovering time travel, or creating an underwater utopia of your own designs), there will always, ALWAYS be new and exciting people to meet and enjoy life with. New friends to be had, new rivals to compete against, and always new enemies to curse in your sleep. If the last 200 years have taught us anything, it's that life isn't boring, and that it won't be slowing down either. Who knows? Maybe in the next few hundred years we'll be literally expanding our horizons by colonizing and exploring deep space. Kiss today goodbye, and point me towards tomorrow.

Try to take over the world... I mean... set it in motion so that in 200 years I'd be in extremely fine shape. It'd be great. Until 10K years from now. That would suck.

Ok, so immortality would suck. Watching everyone you know die would be really hard. But my friend made one good point that I have go agree with: if he were immortal, he said that he would read. He'd never run out of books to read, since new ones are constantly being written. So I think that's a good plan. Read all the books ever written. Gotta have goals.

The thought of being alive to see space travel alone is close to enough motivation I need to live through the next 100 or so years. I wonder what direction the video games industry will move in? What kind of new and exiting ways will people come up with to experience sex? You know how long it is gonna take to travel the world and see all the sights? Or to read every great work of literature? See every movie I have yet to see? Keep up with new ones that come out? I could master several martial arts, just as a hobby. I bet I COULD watch all the porn!!! I think I can keep myself entertained well into the next century at least.

Relax a bit. I have alot I want to do before I die...so it would be good to know thats not a problem no more.
For now I would just live as I have, but then I would eventually start to culture myself. Learn many languages, instruments, and other time consuming things like that.
Would also focus on improving the world directly, since Im staying here awhile.
When the world ends, I would then spend eternity traveling space until I found a new inhabitted planet. I would then try to unharmfully become accepted into society, learn their language and culture, and repeat what Ive said...for all eternity.

heh you would kill off the human race with your over powered ability to spread STDS to everyone. Sorry first thing that came to mind when I saw that second bit.
I would become a legend! and then do it again! and AGAIN! and AGAIN! and just keep disappearing and reappearing taking on a couple of apprentices each time and teaching them all I can in the course of like ten years then leave.
Oh off note, if I regen, what happens if I get cut in half, would I spawn a double? If so me and my clone would take turns being bad guys every couple of centuries for the whole literatury awesomeness.

Probably start 1) selling my cells to science to build up vast amounts of income.
2) after rich, take the girl I've always adored, "and who has always adored me but I screwed over" on her ideal date.
3) do my absolute best to act as a "one man army" against anything i view as inferior in a third world nation, and do everything within my power to become dictator. Even if i had to be instated as a god-like character.
4) go to church every Sunday. lol.
5) after accumulating vast amount of money as a "new messiah" buy out all major international companies and begin buying out everything i could.
6) create a utopia as best i could, and if i couldn't, do my best to disperse myself to the sun hoping I'd end myself once and for all because my "attempt was jolly well perseverent, but simply not good enough"
