I'd make something out of mirrors to trap the lazer beam so I can study it and replicate it. Then when I can make more lazers I will sell them to people. Once I've sold a lazer I would deliver it in person and ask them:

You now have the most powerful lazer in the world. It can fire anywhere in the world at all, has lock on capabilities, and the blast can be as big or as small as you want. There is a monitor so you can see the explosion/piercing if you want. It's untraceable, so no need to worry about getting caught. But it only has energy for ONE shot. And you can't recharge it.

Not really, you would just be making it 100 times worse. Then every time someone asked for proof or dating they would just say it was in Jerusalem.
For myself I would hold the world ransom, demand whatever I want and threaten to nuke the earths core if they don't listen. Connect the laser to my heart/brain so if I die or am being tortured it would fire. I'd form a new nation.
