I'm relatively new to The Escapist so I don't know all that many people that would, or could message me. Nor do I get quoted all that often... but I always check them out whenever I do.

Freaking FINALLY! For the first time in over a year, I do not have any new messages in my inbox, unread news posts from groups, or unread quoted messages. At times over the previous 12+ months, I had over 200 new messages and still had over 100 after the Escapist automatically deleted every message that was greater than a month old. I am disproportionately ecstatic about this, as I am sure you can tell. I glanced over the search bar results and found nothing, so if there is a similar thread out there, I apologize.

Anyway OT: Erm, none at the moment. The most I ever have at one time is about 7 or 8. I usually check the Escapist every day and I hate leaving messages unread

It was from a nearly dead user group. It's calmed down now.

I had 12 one day, and wondered if the apocalypse was upon us. You are a much more social person than I.

I remember having 20 once. Damn near shit myself.

I'm going on quotes/Inbox messages though, if I counted group messages it would be higher, but I usually just delete those and read them in the group.

Yeah I have that too. <.< I have disabled every notification except being quoted (and being messaged directly of course). I get all excited when I see a little (1) pop up after making a post somewhere.
