God I will never forget this moment. I had been playing GTA4 online for weeks and one night I was driving with friend when suddenly some pedestrians were came into view and completely instinctively I started slightly veering the car towards them......I didn't even get out of the lane before catching myself and quite frankly being a little disturbed and scared of the scenario. Needless to say, I thought to myself "...Okay, thats definitely a sign to stop" ^^;
Wow... that's a more scary version of this:

When you dream, you dream of Commander Sheperd blowing up your room and taking you aboard the Normandy to help him fight the reapers........it was a great dream up till we finished Mass Effect 2 together....it turns out I was Commander Sheperd, it was a REALLY good dream...

When you not only dream about it, but have nightmares.

I had one where Gears of War 3 was delayed until late 2012, I woke up yelling "No Cliffy No! Don't take out Guardian!"

You can't ignore his girth.

When your CPU is ~90 C...
That's a sign that your heatsink isn't doing it's job and needs cleaning and/or reseating and/or your case needs better ventilation. No CPU made should hit 90C.
Actually it was because my PSU was inadequate and was struggling to supply enough power to my system, meaning it reached 89 C eventually.

You know you play too much battlefield when you wonder why people aren't standing around in an empty garage waiting for the Abrams to spawn.

You know you play too much Gears of War when you have an impulse to hop over your couch and stack up on walls.

You know you've been playing too much Fallout when you sleep off broken limbs.

You know you've been playing too much Call of Duty when you've been playing Call of Duty.

When, upon seeing real water, you exclaim to a friend, "Wow! That water looks so real!" Because water graphics are iffy...and yeah. He looked at me funny.

Also, once, after playing DDR for most of the day, arrows kept scrolling up my vision and I dreamed about DDR arrows that night.

And after playing Portal. Thinking about how I could get somewhere with portals.

When you do something stupid and then say, "It's alright, I'll just reload." But the eggs are still splattered on the floor and your parents are still glaring at you.

And an Assassin's Creed-related one is that me and my brother plot how to climb buildings by looking for handholds.... We don't try to climb, mind you, but we can theoretically climb every house in our neighbourhood.

When I got a ticktet a while back, and after I was sent on my way thought 'Well, now I can avoid that spot when I reload."

I think that was during my Pokémon marathon.

You know you play too much Fallout when you wake up and look at your wrist and shout out "F*ck where's my pip boy? How am I supposed to equip my armor."

When you get shot in real life and try to 'heal' the wound by eating a hamburger... -_-

Seeing red things and either thinking there's a claymore round the corner, or seeing red things and thinking, "ahh, I could jump off that".

You know you've been playing too much assassins creed when you start categorizing your actions into high/low profile. I always think to myself whenever I am just walking normally: "gotta stay low profile so I wont be detected" and when I run a bit: "going high profile! gotta get away!"

When you're playing an MMO on a laggy connection, then stop playing and instantly think "Oh God, NOW my connection starts working!" or you continue to see the lag for several minutes. (It's happened both ways for me!)
Also, Evergrace related, you see something you can't identify, attempt to draw your katana, then realize using nail thrust would take too much palmira.
When putting on heavy clothes, you think "My defense must have went up."
You've been playing too much SSBB when you see a bat and wonder how far/fast you can launch someone with it.
You've been playing Resident Evil 4 too much when you see a bird's nest in a tree and say "OH! Look! I wonder what will come down if I shoot it." while reaching for a handgun before you realize you're saying it aloud.
In my experience, I know I've played too much Black when I see a car or other form of machinery, I begin wondering how many rifle bullets will cause it to detonate.
I swear I have sooo many more,, but that's all I can think of.

Probably been said a few times but I'm constantly quicksaving >.<
Also I'm consistently glancing down to check my visibility gem after too much Thief.

You know you've played too much Dead Rising 2 when you look around the room, seeing what kind of combo weapons you could make. My favorite one so far is Musket Rifle + Flaming Hot Cheetos.
