You must move to a country that borders your own, forever - which do you pick?

EDIT: If you live on an island nation or Canada please read the entire post before saying you have no options. Gracias.
Fuck off. One of my favourite things about being from an island nation is that we don't have to put up with having borders to other countries.

Y'know, except Ireland, and they're British anyway (whether they want to admit it or not).

In answer to your question, however:

Norway.

France is shit, and full of French people,
Fantastic Beer aside, Belgium is the most boring country on earth.
I wouldn't mind the Netherlands I suppose...
Ireland is... Well, Ireland.
Iceland would be nice I suppose, but if I'm going Scandanavian (and I am), then it's got to be Norway.
Nice xenophobia

I'd rather go and live back in France than stay here. "France is shit"? Really? One of the most ignorant things I've ever read on this site

Sigh...

My post was clearly tongue in cheek.

At least, I thought it was. Perhaps I didn't make it clear enough? Or perhaps you just didn't get it... I don't know you and can't judge your level of intelligence or how you and your social group deals with comments not seriously intended, whereas I am quite familiar with my own level of intelligence, and of course how me and my social group deals with comments not seriously intended.

I'll just chalk this one up to text being an inadequate form of communication. In future please try not to accuse me of being a xenophobe, or ignorant. If I were either, you are in no position to declare me as such from behind your keyboard, having literally never met me.
it's quite difficult to suss the tone of a block of text so you can't be that surprised that people are gonna take it at face value.

France.

(Yes, I'm serious.)
I always chuckle about how few people realize that France has two islands right beside Newfoundland.

OT: If I HAD to move, I would probably move to Sacramento. I have several friends and family who live there.

Being from America, it seems my choices are Canada and Mexico.

I think I'd choose Canada, but not just because it's a hell of a lot safer at the moment. I don't really like hot weather, so if I'd have to choose between mild summers and colder than a witch's tit winters and blazing hot summers and slightly less blazing hot winters, I'd go with the witch's tits.
I am currently sitting in my room in Lethbridge Alberta. It is the middle of winter. It is 0 degrees Celsius outside. It's been hovering around there for almost a week now. If you move to southern Canada, the winters really aren't that bad. Sure you still get the occasional blizzard of freezing death but they don't stay for very long.

As an Israeli, I must say-

HAHAHAahaha. Good one. :p
I honestly thought I was the only one. :D
Israel borders with Egypt Jordan Lebanon and Syria so the only way I'm going in one of those is with Altair as my bodyguard.

Canada. I suppose I'd either go with British Columbia, Novia Scotia, or Saskatchewan.
Why would you like to come here to Saskatchewan?
I lived there for a while when I was younger. I kind of like the emptiness of the prairie, believe it or not.

Scotland. Can't touch me, it's another country anyway. And hey, I have Scottish roots so I'd be right at home.

thats because you are in Alberta! In saskatchewan right now its freezing everyday and we just had 2 more days of snow! we are running out of room to pile the snow this year. and top that all off with good old saskatchewan wind. the highways have been closed more this year than i have ever seen . not that it really stops anyone hahah :)

I'm Canadian so I guess I have to go with Ame- Psych! Norway.

Read it and weep. Greenland and Iceland are also acceptable. I would never want to live in Russia.

Americans are forgetting alaska and Hawaii which opens up the Arctic circle countries and many pacific Island nations.

Between Mexico and Canada, I choose Canada. I've heard Mexico is a bad place to live, full of poverty and corruption, essentially run by gangsters. (Of course, some would say the same things about the ol' U.S. of A.....) Also I don't take heat well at all.

As for where in Canada I would go.... Does it matter? Isn't it just endless tundra and snowmobile trails? Doesn't this just about cover it? Kidding, of course.

I would prefer to stay in the southern part of the country, where the climate is moderate. Being near Toronto or Vancouver would be good, I've heard good things about Canadian cities.

Sweden is essentially the same as Norway, so I guess I'll go there.
Unless you'll let me go to Denmark, that is. That way I won't have to deal with all those insufferable Swedes.
'Scuse me?

I was gonna say Norway, because it's like Sweden but with oil money and funny sounding people, but no more!
I'll head to Denmark instead. Hmph!

I choose Germany because, of my neighbours, it is the one that I know the least about.

But Danes hate Swedes and love Norwegians.
And what use will going to Denmark be for me if I'm going to be bumping into Swedes all the time?

Head off to Finland or something. Shoo!
