I'm 17, and have no plans for my 18th. I'm a complete introvert. I like to be with my friends, but organising a party is just too much hassle for it's worth to me.
I hope my relatives don't visit....I'd be fine with them just visiting, but please don't make me talk to them. Just let me say hello, thank them earnestly for the gifts, and let me do what I like to do. Retire upstairs to my happy-place. No stresses or social awkwardness here.

I'm a simple man. I have little ambition outside of a roof over my head and all that matters to me.

Had all my mates around for a nice quiet evening. Me and one other had a couple drinks (nothing to make us more than tipsy, since there were more people there who didn't drink at the time than there were who did and wanted to), played video games, bandied banter back and forth and had a generally nice night.

I was never a huge drinker anyways (the only time I ever got 'too' drunk on a birthday was that one where I mixed Guinness and Cider. It makes a poison in your stomach. Don't do it.) so the fact that I could legally imbibe alcohol wasn't the be all and end all of the event (especially since I had been able to get into bars and drink at home from the age of 16. I had cool parents, what can I say?). It was just another birthday, really. :)

Mine was on a Thursday a few weeks ago so it coincided with TV night. I was supposed to go out with friends but a night of double big bang theory, followed by How I Met Your Mother followed by another Big Bang, then another How I Met Your Mother and assorted American comedies after that was too much to pass up.

My mates ended up going out regardless, Thursday is the night to be out where I live, pub deals means 3 bombs for a fiver till 11. Two of them never went home and one of those two was still drinking through school. It was a pretty awesome Friday, especially trying to keep him out of trouble during ICT. I kinda regret not going out, but TV night is TV night.

Me, my girlfriend, my bestfriend and my parents watched copious amounts of Mr.Bean together and had cake. That is all.

The fact that noone else is there is because my birthday is on the 25th, and I didn't want to celebrate afterwards. : D

The actual day was a school day, so I just had a pretty normal day at school (plus cake, singing of happy birthday and presents. Including one of those mugs where certain parts "disappear" when it's filled with a hot drink. The picture was a lesbian porn scene, and the disappearing objects were the women's underpants. My friends at the time were so tasteful :p ) Then I went to pub with the few friends who were also old enough to drink (I'm one of the oldest in my academic year) and someone bought me my first legal drink.

The next weekend I went to Alton Towers with my three best mates at the time. It was my present from my family, and it was AMAZING. I have a thing for theme parks and roller coasters, but never got to go to one outside of school trips. I'd wanted to go to Alton Towers since I was a kid, so it was a bit of a dream gift XD

Since then, the extent of my birthday celebrations has been a few drinks with friends.

There's this annually held small festival kind of event for a week in my small hometown, and particularly the weekend, around the time of my birthday. My birthday is almost every year during the weekend, so it gives an awesome setting for birthday celebrations. When I turned 18, I had partied the previous night with other underaged friends at the town. I spent the celebratory evening in two bars and a beer tent. It was awesome to say the least. Different friends and a couple of relatives gifted me drinks the whole night, adding up to a dozen of those. So it was really fun.

Happy birthday. My 18th birthday was a going away party before I joined the army, to which only one of my invited friends actually showed up. I got to be with my family though, that was nice. I'm turning 30 on Tuesday, and it was too expensive for them to fly down here to visit. So alone, lol.

I spent it at home drinking a lot of Coke while watching movies all day. Loved it. Nice meal in the evening, lovely steak and then baked Alaska. Fucking loved it.

My 18th birthday is 5 months away, in November. I imagine I'll probably just spend the day being lazy, which is my usual modus operandi.

I can't remember how I spent my eighteenth. Twas likely low-key, like most of my prior birthdays have been.

I did fuck all, sat and played video games because I'm a miserable, lonely, shut in.

What a great day :3
Basically this, although I upped the pathetic meter and went to the local supermarket and bought my own chocolate birthday cake!

Few days later had a birthday meal with family.

Been the same since my 16th birthday to be honest.

My 18th birthday was pretty awesome. My friends and I decided to go to the beach all day and get a bonfire going until they could kick us out.

We played football in the sand, went swimming on the beach, where the girl that I was in loved with at the time had a "wardrobe malfunction," but I swore I didn't see it (because I truly didn't), we had music playing while we got the BBQ going, we told jokes over the bonfire while roasting marshmallows for s'mores, and I got to spend sometime with the the girl I was in loved with (though we only went for a walk and nothing more).

When we were going to get picked up, rather than go the long way around, I ran and jumped up the side of a hill to the top instead, having of course come back down for my friends and our things. On the ride back, the girl was resting on my shoulder until we dropped her off at her house.

So yeah, it was a pretty epic 18th birthday.

It's less than a week away now, and I am unsure what to do for my birthday party. Maybe I should just put some chairs and a table with food in the garden and be done with it. Gives me a headache, I hate birthday parties, and I hate the stuff that goes with it. Including getting presents, I especially hate that.

Gah, I want to be 16 again.

I went to an epic water park and had the worst sore thought of my life, I teas like some one force my to swallow 10,000 broken beer bottles. It was rather shit after all the fun wore off.

As for my 21st (our one that let you drink booze) I had and awesome diner and that is about it, did not have my first drink for the next 518 days on my cousin's 21 where in he purchased every liquor known to man and i sampled out of curiosity till I was hammered.

Went to town with mates, drank far too much, went to clubs, spewed copiously inside and outside of said clubs, went home, passed out, got teabagged.

I love my friends... :p

I turned 18, I was now considered an adult, I was so happy.
My friends told me congrats I can now smoke cigarettes and be forced into a war. Still I didn't care because I could do what I wanted, because I was an adult.
I went to a comedy club with my parents, because I don't like strangers touching my provocatively (so no strippers). I was immediately shown the door because I was under 21.

And the "I'm an adult now." bubble burst.

The End

Had family and friends over, had cake and generally just a good time, had some beer later during the evening, but nothing much.

The day after, though, I went out to eat at a sports bar, and then I had more beer and even more beer after that. Didn't get very drunk, though.
