Anyway, it came from YTMND (You're The Man Now Dog!). Apparently if you pour Gayfuel on a taco, it becomes a SecretTacoNazi.
I was SecretTacoNazi for a while on Youtube before I changed it to SecretTacoNinja.

Less offensive and I get to keep the initials. Woo!

I ususally go by Lobster Crunk. It was made when I came up with my Live account, because I wanted something totally original and clever. So I got the original part, at least, because no-one else on the internet seems to have some up with it. I'm quite pleased with that.

The name doesn't mean anything whatsoever. It might be one of those things that are so deep and mysterious that even I have not discovered the true meaning behind, but it's probably just a dumb name that has a bit of a ring to it.

It comes from a username I've been using since about middle school. The other half, Hybrid, was unfortunately taken, which is what I was going to use at first.
So, I took Nostalgic and made it into Nostalgia. It might as well be a reference to the overused "rose-colored" glasses argument.

From the PS2 game "The bouncer" Sion Barzahd was a character who i used to play as the most, and fought well with when me and my friends would play Vs. matches.
A friend one day made the comment i look a little like him too, and began calling me it.
Thats how it began.

Though i have 2 other alias' i go by often enough, on top of Sion.

Originally i used "DataLore" as a proxy, its a Star Trek TNG pun based on the Names of the two Androids Data and his "Brother" Lore.
Then i went to Galaxy Lan to create an account but the guy who entered the info misheard me and entered "Datalord" and it just seemed to fit my number cruching geeky style of thinking

My user name is the name of a race of imaginary creatures from a short story I wrote. I picked it because I new it wouldn't already be taken.

ah, a pretext for me to assume everyone here cares about my nickname, how profoundly touching^^ Well, werfer is what you get if you faceroll over the keyboard with either most of the keys broken or with a very strange shape on either face or keyboard(latter for me!). The 'Um' was added because some exceptionally smart fellow (me again, but lost the password for that account) actually called himself "thrower" in a game before me. So, Umwerfer stuck. Oh, and it means "overthrower" in german, but I'm not german, which frequently causes me to converse strangers on the interweb in my n00b-german.

Ignore my username, I blanked at the time.

My overarching alias, marcpatt14, is the username I've used since I created my first hotmail account and is simply, the first four letters of my first and last names and my age at the time. Lame, yes, but it gets the job done.

Less lame is Aero, the script I have been working on for a couple of years now. Main character can control the air and VOILA! His name is immensly predictable but memorable.

More awesome is Kiefziel. Dammit, I should have used that nme for my username! Dammit!

Desperatly needing an alias I sat with a Coke,Sprite and a Burn. I mixed the letters a bit.

So I ended with Scorn. And later realizing it being a real English word and quite well known I found the word "Patron" in a french book.

Patron meaning "guardian angel" in french and Scorn meaning "contempt" I found it suitable to my currenct situation being down with a broken arm. My guardian angel doesn't care realy much. So my feelings for him is Contempt.

I always loved the shadow pirates, since that used to be my fighting style in games, stealth and melee weapons. MY avatar, zeratul, is basically a starcraft shadow pirate. 22 is my favorite number.

Daevus was a typeo name for a character in a Korean MMORPG. I stuck with it, and she has become the manifestation of my inner girly-ness.
Dae, on the other hand, is my contemplative, cryptic side.
Erana was... well, I just felt like using her name here on the spur of the moment, and it stuck.
Syrlith was my imaginary dragon from childhood. I had a fight with her a decade ago and I haven't seen her since, but I still use her name.

I got my current alias on the forum for the webcomic Sheldon [http://sheldoncomics.com] and it was the first time I actually had one I liked more than a few minutes. Very fickle I am, hmm. It's from The Road Warrior, because I figure myself to be the kind of person who would not only have a working flying machine after the holocaust, but operate it with a pet snake on hand and wearing goggles, helmet, and longjohns. Gyro as a sandwich can be pronounced "hero", so there's another good reason.

Hunde Des Krieg, Dogs Of War. Thought it was Dog of War but whatever...
Heard it on The Postman, and translated it to German, cuz it sounds cool and Dog of war was taken on Live.

The genitive form tends to be really formal and awkward in modern German, and that's actually closer to "dogs of THE war", not to mention I have the niggling feeling Hunde should become Hunden in the genitive, but I won't tell. Wait, crap, I did. *makes obeisance and pleads forgiveness*

You know I've heard so many ways it "should" be translated that I just don't care anymore.

Then maybe a german can help: Dog of War would (word by word) translate to "Hund des Kriegs" or "Hund des Krieges" (Krieg has two forms of genitive), but while it's grammatically correct it sounds a bit strange to a native german speaker. "Kriegshund" however sounds a lot better. I think it's the same way "lord of war" compares to "warlord" in english, if i remember Nicholas Cage's comment correctly.

"Hund von Krieg" is just plain wrong, and "Hunden" is not genitive, but dative plural. Hope i could help a bit, and i know, german is a bit complicated when it comes to cases


Edit: Oh, and my own screenname, which i use literally for every account (XBL, PSN, eMail, Charakter in WoW) has evolved from my former real life nickname "Demi", which is based on my last name.

my complete Alias is Kalaim Badkaama. I made up the name Badkarma when playing Duke nukem 3d on lan. Then one night while i was on a real killing spree, (almost 45 kills without death in a row against 6 opponent) i change my nick to Kill'em Badkarma.
a few year later, I started playing live music actz on stage and slightly changed it to Kalaim Badkaama.

I stopped playing Duke nukem

I'm still playing music.

Well, when I was younger I always thought it would be cooler if I changed my name to Kristy (don't ask me why, I really don't know) But after a while I dropped off the "K" and Risty became my penname and the name of my OC in the fanfic I was writing. But 'Risty' isn't enough letters so now my screenname is Risty-chan

My alias is Soren Alenko. I came to adopt that name because I can't stand my birth name. (you would too if you knew the reason behind it.). Anyway, the 'history' I guess behind it is this:
Soren comes from one of my favoriet book characters (Soren from the Guardians of Ga'Hoole series.) and it's also what this group of peopel called me when I was going through shit.

Alenko comes from Kaidan Alenko of Mass Effect fame. I decided upon that because I felt that Kaidan was the best personality in the game (and most likeable). Also, I felt that 'Soren Alenko' sounded really good.

I took my name from a party member in a very OBSCURE (wink) game. The guy was hard as hell to get and I only returned him to his mortal coil once through the power of ARCANA. But all the other times he attacked me so I got really STEAMED and WORKED up.
The De Meridian part of my name was added for a LARP I used to fight in.
