I either hang out at home and play games/post here, or I'll go to a friends house to play some games. Very rarely do I actually go to public places for entertainment.

normally get my kitchen cleaned by 1 am on a weeknight, not dressed for clubbing so me and my colleagues either go to a casino, or this grotty bar. Really the only 2 places we can go that have no dress code or anything

I feel so sorry for most of you. You're missing out on all kinds of awesome things by either being some kind of loner or by being some kind of perpetually wasted loser.

My ideal night out, which takes place once or twice a week, is to go out with a few friends, have a nice dinner (either at the pub or an Ajisen ramen bar), followed on by waffles or a trip to a nearby dessert restaurant, or dessert at the pub if we decide to.

Then, we go to whatever venue we've decided to go to - no clubs, bars or any of that douchey shit - and drink beer or cider (depending on our mood) while hanging around with other friends who are there, and watching whatever local or interstate bands are playing at the time. Generally we end the night by saying we're heading off, then spending another hour saying goodbye or getting into conversations with people, then finally leave before getting sudden cravings for a yiros or kebab and indulging, before getting a taxi home in the wee hours of the morning.

Win.

I don't go out at night, due to the fact I am never invited anywhere at night and most kids can't be out at night alone.

If its the day its a combination of a few sports, videogames, and pizza with a few friends.

Nights out? What's that?

If it ever happens, we end up playing pool somewhere, going home early and drinking at home over a dvd, or (more likely) our pcs. Really hard RTS games are hilarious when a little, ahem, happy...

I have more fun doing that than I ever did when I went out pubbing several nights a week; it's cheaper too.

My night out consists of walking around town with friends till 7-8, grabbing a dinner consisting of pure Subway awesomeness, then heading to see a movie then head home, exciting I know.

Going to a particular friends house who has parents who allow him to drink and let his friends drink, go out, party, crash at said friends house. Go home next day and try to play off a hangover as being over tired.
As much as I know that its good my parents care about me enough to try and prevent me drinking, god it gets annoying.

Usually start out with a few mates coming over and having few beers before we take the buss to the city.

We drink more on the bus, and when we come to the city we hit the bars and get drunk.

I usually end the night with a joint and a cab home.

What is this...outside?

Actually I don't get to party much or anything but I grew past that phase too. I prefer staying at home now, or just spending time with a close friend or two. If I had a girlfriend I'd probably spend it with her.

Most of my nights out take one of two routes:

#1 Mates & Significant Others.
We all agree to meet in a pub at 8. Me and my fiancée get there at 8. Another mate and his girlfriend turn up. Everyone else is anything from 30 mins to 2 hours late. Once everyone has turned up and has a drink (bear in mind that some of us have have two hours head start on the others) conversations start. Assorted silly things are said, and at least two of my mate's girlfriends get offended and then grumpy. Me and the fiancée make our excuses and bail before the night descends into snide passive-aggressive arguing.

#2 Just Mates
We all agree to meet at a pub. Me and a handful of mates turn up on time. Other mates will be anything from bang on time to 15 mins late (usually because they had to take a detour via a newsagents to buy fags). Drinking commences. Within 30 seconds of the first conversation starting, the word 'fuck' has been used at least a dozen times. Someone mentions football. Two of us try and ignore the jibes about how shit West Ham are. Both of us give up and start swearing. Some middle-aged women glares at the group of us, as the first instance of the word '****' is used. We all finish our first drinks and go for a smoke. Round 2 begins. A few mates disappear off to play the fruit machine, me an a mate play something called 'Diath Billiards' (Diath being a band we were in) which takes forever to play and has fairly nebulous and fluid rules. The next guys on the pool table either get annoyed that we're taking forever, or have a laugh trying to work out what the hell we're playing. One or other of us wins (unless the game reaches the Rush Clause) and we notice our pint glasses are empty again. We go for a smoke and Round 3 begins. This round/smoke/round format will continue until someone shouts 'shots' and a mini-round of spirits will be had. Then we shall return to round/smoke/round. At the end of the night, those of us who live in villages outside the main town will barter for crash space off other mates present, or fairly angry significant others. The night ends on someone's sofa.

The next morning, hungover and staving off the noise/proddings/general annoyances from a fiancée with a cruel sense of humour, I will receive a multitude of text messages. Usually these are quotes from last night taken entirely out of context eg. "I'm not kissing that man until he puts his penis away" or "Macedonia? Oh Shit" but sometimes will consist of something utterly hilarious. My favourite of which being a story about how, on the walk home, a mate managed to pull a drunk MILF. He went back to hers and her husband was up. This mate realised the shit he was in and said something along the lines of 'I saw she was drunk and didn't want to see her name in the papers, so walked her home' and the husband made him a cup of tea, thanked him and sent him on his way. I wish that story was about me and not a mate.

MY Average night's out differ a whole lot...

Before half a year ago I loved going to clubs with loud dance music and stuff. Was ussually fun and it's not hard to pick up a girl when you hardly know what you're doing. But about exactly half a year ago it seemed I had hooked up with a girl who already had a boyfriend, who was wactually there! Seeing as the guy was a skinhead with two tattoos covering his arms, I got off quite well with no bloody nose. Part of me not being so injured was probably because those big doorkeepers got hold of both of us and threw us out.

Well after that little incident I said to myself, well that won't happen again. And I was getting really tired of all the people, mostly girls asking why I didn't say "hi" or danced wtih them for a little while.

So now I prefer going to a bar with 7-10 mates, sit around a table. Drink loads of beer and talk about random stuff, but mostly girls. ^^

Usually it goes something like this:
Pre-drinks with buddies (sometimes we don't move past this and rather do something, like play D&D)
Go to a bar/somewhere else
Drink 'till we walk funny, maybe flirt a bit (me and another buddy both got hit on by a woman in her thirties last time we were out. To put that in perspective, we're both 18)
Get food
Walk home/in separate directions
Drink some water and, if we haven't, eat something (both 'cause we're thirsty and have the munchies and because it helps with hangovers)
Go to sleep
Wake up, pretty often with virtually no hang-over

That is, if we can afford it :<

I'm a first year student at university in the UK. I went out a lot in the first term. I'd always drink at least four pints of beer before leaving (MINIMUM). Then me and my mates would often go to this trebles bar and have... well... trebles. Usually treble vodka coke, I'd have a couple of them. Then we'd hit up a night club and I'd dance like an idiot while everyone else acted much more normal. For some reason they were a bigger hit with the ladies than I was. Then we'd usually grab a subway as we left and then collapse into bed when we'd get back.

Now though I have decided that that much alcohol at least three times weekly was probably not healthy for me or my studies so now I do pretty much the same but a lot less frequently. Also I've learned to essentially lie about my real personality by hiding my body language and dancing more controlled and it turns out that gets you way more ladies. GUARANTEED.

Then there's rugby socials where I drink more alcohol that can probably fit in my body and then I puke A LOT... although I still managed to pull once having been sick 6 times earlier in the evening. I'm not proud of that though...

Dude, I know a guy who shagged a 40 year old... and he was 17. Now that's disgusting, though to be fair that guy would probably shag anything that performs aerobic respiration.

Getting ready for like an hour. Going to the local mall or hang out place to hit on chicks. Cruise around smoking until something comes up. If there's a party go, if not go to a buddy's and stay up all night playing some variation of a sports game.

Night's out for me involve "dancing" awkwardly to loud boring music at 2am whilst my mind goes elsewhere. Strangely enough, i think about philosophy, last night for instance i was thinking about Horace and Nietzche. A few of my friends are real-party goers and try to get me involved, but meh, i'm just not a club person- but unfortantly being at univerity means you almost inevitably have to go clubbing at some stage. But heck, i would have much preffered spending last night gaming or watching my Blackadder DVD's.

I much prefer pubs though, going to the pub for a few pints or indeed a bar-crawl is much more entertaining for me, and you get back at an almost civil hour.
