i Headshotted an APC driver with the EDF rail sniper as he barreled towards the building and rebels i was defending. the APC, however, had enough momentum in it to hit the small wall i was using as cover, Misty Flip through the air, and broadside the very building i was defending before it exploded catastrophically. taking out all of the front side the building then collapsed forward onto not only myself and allies, but also the EDF attacking forces.

my computer lagged for a full 3 minutes as the 4 APCs, and 30 some odd people, myself included, where crushed this falling high rise as a cascade of explosions engulfed everyone.

i survived of course because i was Mason, Red Rock God of The People, but unfortunatly i failed the mission because all the rebels died.

all of that from just 1 sniper shot.
no other game i've seen has had an unscripted sequence like that save. and the one game that did have that (ArmA2 Multiplayer) was no where near as epic.

Running around quickscoping people on MW2 for something different (I usually use the SPAS or M4A1) and went 23-5, and got called a hacker multiple times.

Also, what Kajt said, pissing someone of at a LAN party is pretty awesome. Actually that reminds me of another time. We were playing Halo 3 and drinking. I was completely drunk and sniping. Anyways my friend is running around with the sword, and I turn around, and headshot him.

He was pretty mad about that one, especially since he was completely sober.

Some guy did a quadruple backflip from jump pad to jump pad, and just as he was about to grab the best weapon in the game, railgunned and gibbified.

There are no snipers in FPS.

Snipers shoot and move. Thats why you respawn and insta-kill them.

I beg to differ. There are many players out there that play FPSs in a more run-and-gun kind of way, but instead of a machine gun they use the sniper rifle. To give an extreme example, look up Grizz on youtube.

ACtually, it was today while playing BLack Ops, in Crisis. I was armed with the bolt-action, the only gun with ammo. I was going around a corner when two guys appeared around another corner, I brought the gun up, thinking im dead, and I fired it once. I actually got both of them. Wish I would have recorded it...

Playing Halo Reach, I thought a guy was flanking me so I whipped around and zoomed in at the same time (because I figured he would still be a ways away).
It ended up being an enemy with a sword who was right up in my face and I got a fully zoomed in bull-true on him. It was pretty intense.

Playing DoD:S I aimed for a sniper in a building while prone in an alley. another enemy comes around the corner as a shoot. Hit the first guy in the torso and the sniper in the head.

and then there was when MAG first launched... killing snipers with the LMGs was crazy.

Hm... it's ether that one time I got a 11 kill steak in CoD4 (complete with flanking someone trying to flank me) or any sniper kill in TF2 that nets me an achievement (my computer can just barely run TF2).

MW2, I hear my claymore go off, so I oount to three, then jump out the window. I turn around in the air, aim, then fire right through the wall for the gamewinning kill. The guy had bent down to Teabag me, so it turned out to be a headshot. I could hear the guy swearing thoughout the lobby. He knew a few choice words.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 (The one with bullet travel time and drop) I hit a running guy from across the map in the head for a 600+ marksmanship shot. I have never felt so accomplished in a video game as when I saw the guy hit the dirt.

Battlefield 2, I was a sniper on the ground, a jet flew in and blew up the tank next to me, it turns around and spots me and goes in for the kill, while it's still extremely far away, so much so that it's half covered in fog, I took aim for the pilots seat, and got him in the face as he was diving in.

I was happy as all hell.

once, in that beach map in halo: CE, I jumped and my sniper sight caught an unsuspectic tank driver in the head...seriously, best shot I've eve done, I then killed 3 more guys, until I got owned by a banshee =(

I was playing Halo Reach, and these two guys were walking down the hallway. I shot, and I was sure I would get both of them with one shot.

Well, I nailed the first guy in head, missed the second guy, the bullet bounced off the plasma shield behind him, off my shoulder, and into the second guy's head.

BBC:2, cnet remember the name of the map. The one with the town over looked by the big hill and on the start bases in behind thet hill..... Anyway, I was sniping on that hill and I got a head shot on a guy who was at full sprint, from at least 1/2 the map away. What makes it really cool though is that I had to fire through the window and (open) door of a house to do it. I got around 300 marksman points.

Does it have to be with a sniper rifle? Because the sniper kill I consider my best was with a machine gun.

Seriously, from greater than halfway across a sniper-friendly Counter-Strike map, I head-shotted my final opponent using the wildly-inaccurate machine gun. Luck, not skill.
