playing Crash in CoD4. I run into the second floor of the 3 story building, from the downstairs, I see a guy come up the other stairs from outside. He starts to shoot at me, and hits me so my view goes red. In a moment of sheer genius, I jump out the window and the fall kills me. It's happened countless times. In a "fight or flight" moment, even in video games, I tend to choose "flight". This leads to hilarious suicides.

Let's see...

The Child at Heart perk in Fallout 3, convincing myself to use the M1 Garand for an extended period of time in CoD:WaW online, and actually paying money for a Wii.

Dear jesus, I wish I could undo the last one.

Oh God, the memories, they burn.

Also, listening to a friend and playing The Da Vinci Code. ALL of it.

Probably selling my Golden Sun game. I thought since I beat it I wouldn't need to play it again....wrong. A year or two later when I want to play it again but it was impossible to find in any store. I wound up buying it off eBay.

What could possibly be dangerous about getting a custom firmware onto my PSP, I thought? Everyone does it right? There's only like a one in a million chance of it bricking right?

One $250 paperweight later, I have learned a valuable lesson.

Leaving my PS2 on for 2 weeks while I went on holiday. It was baking hot when I got back and from then on it started to die... first it wouldn't read CDs... then dvds... then wouldn't read games unless you put them in just right and banged it a bit... then it stopped reading games altogether... now all I can do with it is open the browser... *starts weeping*...
Ooh, I've had lots of PS2 problems. I've had everything from a broken memory card slot to an unresponsive disc reader, like yours. It's not all bad, though. I can say I've become intimately familiar with the inside of a PS2.

Three words: Here And Now. I can't believe I went for such a useless perk.

Hearing all the stories about save failure hits close to home. Happens to the best of us, best just to let it go.

One of the most frustrating things, however, is dying right on top of a health pack or right in front of a save point. It's even worse if you've done a lot and forgot to save/haven't seen a save point in hours.

Hell, I don't believe you can play minesweeper without a bit of lag lol.
Too true - I have VMfusion running Windows 7 Beta (great by the way people) and it would crash whenever I opened up Chess.

And to think I was going to try getting WoW on that - then I found the links for Macs =D full client WoTLK can be found here by the way

US:
https://signup.worldofwarcraft.com/trial/freetrial.html

Just below Create 10-day free trial you can get the download straight away - then once you have the trial the launcher will have a link for the full game - this is a good way for any private server people

1. removing digitalph33r off my XBL friends list a week before the first "Arby and the Cheif" video was released.
2. Not putting proper credits in a GTA4 machinima I made and got ripped (by joblo.com), and then got spread accross the front page of Digg, and featured on G4TV's AOTS.

you was gonna play WOW using VMfusion?!!?!?, idc what kinda mac you have, it would get a blue screen on you in 3 seconds. i fon't even think it can handle the installation of WOW. its too damn CPU heavy to do anything but word documents on it . if you're gonna play WOW on a mac, set it up with Bootcamp

I just threw away an hour of progress in Fallout 3... that'll teach me not to trust too much on the Autosave.
The amount of times I have done that on games is uncounted. Playing till my DS dies and not saving regularly usually results in several hours of lost work, and a refusal to play that game, for a few days at the least.
Like I do with Spore.
After about an hour or so, the thing kills my computer, full freeze, no Ctl + Alt + Del, nothing.
Joy.
I feel your pain man. I really do. Our family computer did that to me so many times, I just gave up on it. Its the reason I have my current computer!
