I agree with NeuroShock, my BFBC2 game doesn't connect to the servers either. Broke broke broke. In addition, Halo: Reach and Fallout: New Vegas have been lost to careless friends and the careless things they do >_<

Just recently I've had to mourn the loss of one of my favorite game discs, Mass Effect. It got shredded when we lent it to an inconsiderate friend of ours; it worked for a time, but it finally gave up the ghost the other day.

What games have you lost to wear and tear, or accidents?
My copy of Silent Hill 2, it took a trip to a friend of mine and when it came back... well lets just say it wasn't the same anymore. It'd seen things no game should have to endure.
Never mind, the HD remake will be out soon. God Bless Sonys desire to make more money from things i've already bought :D

I don't have a single inoperable disc, out of at least four dozen disks and about two dozen cartridges. :D

None. What are you people DOING to your discs? Even the ones that were scratched when I bought them I just fixed with one of those rubbing-compound kits.

Actually, I did have a copy of Unreal Gold that didn't read properly, but I somehow had an extra one, so it didn't matter.

Dragon Warrior III for the gameboy color. I lent it to a friend, and he somehow screwed it up so that you couldn't save.... I still managed to beat it though. Even if it was a speed run thanks to the batteries...

Nothing that matters. I'm a dedicated PC gamer and I backup everything.
Ah, yes. The glories of actually being able to take advantage of the digital age.

I missed Dark Cloud. I threw the case at my brother from across the room (closed), and the disc flew out and broke. I replaced it recently though, but can't bring myself to replay it.

Also, my entire Wii is broken. The disc reader crapped out mid game. :c

A dear friend of mine tried to have sex with my CoD4 disk. It didn't turn out well.
Wh... what? Uh.... I don't even know how to explain that to myself....

I've never had a disc go wonko on me. And considering I'm on Xbox 24/7 with several different games, it makes me wonder why everyone else has trouble with their 360 carving up their games.

I have long ago lost Orange Box so this is a main reason why I love steam.

My friend drop-kicked my entertainment center during a game of MVC 3(long story). Everything survived fine other than MVC 3 itself. If I try to play it, my 360 just freezes up. He's going to replace it with Ultimate MVC 3 when it comes out though.

all of my NES games have stopped working, but theyre older than i am so thats to be expected.
My first game that i really cared about which broke down was paper mario. I'm not sure what did it in, but its one of my only n64 games that doesn't work anymore, and when i found out i got all depressed, miss it so much.

I lost Metal Gear Solid 4 when my friend took a knife to it because he didnt it and all its cutscenes... i mean it was his game before, but still.

also my ps3 broke down recently, as far as i can tell its because i played to much buggy fucking fallout new vegas.

I axed a bunch of games awhile back.
This was before I could legitimately sell them, so I got my parent's fire axe and a friend, then starting chopping dem discs we agreed would never be used again.

I was like, 9. Don't blame me.

I almost lost my Mass Effect 2 disk but I managed to fix it with toothpaste. (Yes, I'm serious.)

Otherwise I bought Jak X a few years ago second-hand and the disk was so scratched you couldn't start the first mission. If I could find it I'd try the toothpaste trick on that one too.

2 Halo 3 disks. One was after a friend of mine tried to move my xbox while the disk was spinning inside (ffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu), and the second was when the same friend knocked over my xbox 360 with the game disk spinning inside.

This friend is no longer allowed anywhere near my consoles anymore.
That is EXACTLY the same thing that happened to my friend...you aren't?...nah...XBoxes just eat discs

This is why I'm so glad I'm mainly a PC gamer...
And even if I do accidentally destroy on of my wii or gamecube games, guess what?
I can run backups on my wii! Suck It!...
That was rude...I really do feel sorry for your loss...all of you losses.

Lent my copy of Final Fantasy X to a friend. It got screwed up at his place. Fortunately he was good enough to buy me a replacement copy. The only real sad thing is that it was my first copy of my most beloved game of all time. I now have two copies of the game but, it's still a little sad to know that I'll never see my first one ever again.

Your friend wouldn't happen to have an unpronounceable last name would he?
