Cartridges have an internal battery that allows them to save. You can have the battery replaced (for a modest fee) if you send it off to Nintendo, or you can replace it yourself (if you happen to have a soldering iron and small watch battery handy). There are tutorials on the internet. Doing it yourself has obvious risks however.EHKOS said:Hmmm my Pokemon Blue won't save either, it must be a fault in the construction of the cartridges.randomguy425 said:I still have my broken Halo 3 that was lost to scratches, my Pokemon Gold that refuses to save, and a broken copy of Fallout 3 that I have NO idea why it won't work.
Why do you think a buggy game broke your ps3? Unless your turning the power switch off and on to reset a freeze the game locking up harms nothing.metal mustache said:also my ps3 broke down recently, as far as i can tell its because i played to much buggy fucking fallout new vegas.
Well it's certainly not a friendly last name, no one gets it right the first time...Dirty Hipsters said:Your friend wouldn't happen to have an unpronounceable last name would he?Keepeas said:That is EXACTLY the same thing that happened to my friend...you aren't?...nah...XBoxes just eat discsDirty Hipsters said:2 Halo 3 disks. One was after a friend of mine tried to move my xbox while the disk was spinning inside (ffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu), and the second was when the same friend knocked over my xbox 360 with the game disk spinning inside.
This friend is no longer allowed anywhere near my consoles anymore.
OT:
This is why I'm so glad I'm mainly a PC gamer...
And even if I do accidentally destroy on of my wii or gamecube games, guess what?
I can run backups on my wii! Suck It!...
That was rude...I really do feel sorry for your loss...all of you losses.
I think it's the save battery dying, not really a fault per se, just a shortcoming of technology at the time.EHKOS said:Hmmm my Pokemon Blue won't save either, it must be a fault in the construction of the cartridges.randomguy425 said:I still have my broken Halo 3 that was lost to scratches, my Pokemon Gold that refuses to save, and a broken copy of Fallout 3 that I have NO idea why it won't work.
OT: I mourn the loss of my Ribbit King disc. Hot day+ Toffee =broke ass disc![]()
I once opened a new game and it was cracked already, and once I bought a game and it cracked when I pulled it out.
