What assortment of items do you have that just sit around on your shelves that make people wonder "wtf is wrong with this person?"


I have many transformers figures (all decepticons) in full robot mode and they just sit on the shelf and stare menacingly at others...i also have many a mountain dew can, unopened of course, ranging from the original green can to the several types of flavors they've had...all except Pitch Black and Baja Blast.

I've got a large Jolly Roger flag hanging on the wall above my bed, one of the first things everyone see when they enter the room. My sword collection hangs on the wall opposite that, and over the slingle large window hangs a Yin/Yang chinesse dragon tapestry to keep the light out (glare on the TV and monitor is bad, m'kay?).

About a year ago, i had 134 Pepsi cans stacked as a pyramid in my room.

I got rid of them though... so i don't have anything odd now.

I have a large collection of anime/game figurines sitting on top of my bookshelf. That's not, in itself, too bad, except for some of the dirtier ones (biker girl Rei, Ryoumou Shimei from Ikkitousen, Caren Ortensia) especially since the height of the shelf means you have to look UP at them, if you know what I mean. Also, a couple of the wall scrolls I have on my walls would raise a few eyebrows, mainly the Tenjou Tenge one and the Masamune Shirow ones.

On the other hand, people would be wondering "wtf is wrong with this person" not based on what any of my possessions are so much as the sheer VOLUME of them.

Your only at One Piece 16? Did they release it only that far or did you stop collecting? I'm at 52 . 20-23 kick ass, so if you still collect you can look forward to these.

I haven't been paying much attention to it for the past couple of years. It's one of a couple that I haven't yet found the motivation to pick back up (along with Ouran High School Host Club and Bleach). It's mostly been Full Metal Alchemist, Negima, Hayate the Combat Butler, Chibi Vampire, School Rumble, and (until last July) Fruits Basket, recently.

That might change, but One Piece is a little lower on the list. Prolonged lack of exposure has led me to half-forget that the story is good enough to distract me from hating Oda's art style.

Not me (my room is pretty barren, I did just move in) but my father...he has books. At least five hundred books, in a bookshelf, on the dresser stuffed in boxes piled on the floor... his whole room is covered in books. And he's read all of them; he won't buy a book unless he's read it first. It's...uncanny.

Well, I have a big comic book collection, a big W40k novel collection (which is about to grow, I just ordered 6 more novels), a big DVD collection... yeah, they're all big.

Also, I have two chests full of Transformers, a few non-posable collectibles/figurines, a few select W40k miniatures, a Yautja mask, a viking sword and shield and a pair of sai.

So, in summary... a lot of largely useless stuff.
And it's all mine and you can't have any of it. MINE!!!

I have a shelf of assorted knickknacks including a katana and two knives as well as an African spear and several other exotic items from around the world.
I also own an extensive collection of stuff from popular culture, figurines that I leave on my shelves.

I guess sports paraphernalia like baseballs and posters with autographs, but I don't have those sitting out. It sounds bad, but I don't think I could trust some of my friends around them. A couple of them are worth several thousand dollars.

mason jars with things floating in dark liquid, 1340 5mm neodymium magnets and several dozen other larger magnets, dozens of unmarked black journals, a large collection of books including medical texts, parasitology books, obscure fringe journals, mythological stories etc.

I don't scare people persay, I just remind them of a character that "Meddled in things not meant for human eyes"
