My friend is a Doctor Who/LOST fan and has every figurine of both. I take great joy in making Jack and the Doctor get into martial arts fights.

I've a collection of 'interesting shit', just things that I've picked up or have been given to me from around the world, as seen here:

If we go from left to right, top to bottoom we have: old (1908 I think) book of Tennyson's works, my dad's old Navy officer's hat on top of an old March F1 car model. Behind that is Dave, a wooden statue I got in cornwall. Behind the camel is a long, functional wizards pipe, a McLaren model F1 car and a drinking horn (made of real horn!).
The bottom shelf yields a load more model F1 cars, various Portugese cockerel statues and other nick-nacks, including a die full of dice.

Below that are a small selection of my books (living in a uni house, the rest are at home) and an absolute fuckton of DVDs. My pride and joy, and they were meticulously ordered alphabetically and via medium (TV/movies/box-sets) with their own set of special rules determining placement of tv series with spin-off films etc.

Unfortunately, with limited shelf space now they're spread between my room and the living room, which isn't anywhere near as impressive :p

Snowglobes. I started as a kid collecting snowglobes, and now I think the dust surrounding all of them is equal in amount to the water inside of them.

Well, I have a big comic book collection, a big W40k novel collection (which is about to grow, I just ordered 6 more novels), a big DVD collection... yeah, they're all big. :p

Also, I have two chests full of Transformers, a few non-posable collectibles/figurines, a few select W40k miniatures, a Yautja mask, a viking sword and shield and a pair of sai.

So, in summary... a lot of largely useless stuff.
And it's all mine and you can't have any of it. MINE!!!
Plus tell me it inculdes Eisenhorn and Ravenor.

My room also has a load of books, mainly 40k and Discworld, loads of cards, some old stuffed toys, some 40k figures, dice...And my 2 40k posters hang up on my wall, all framed and lovely.

Let me see.

Some books about Nazi Germany from a report I did three years ago.
Two sets of speakers: One for a stereo, one for my iPod.
Some Warhammer 40,000 books
A plush Pikachu on my dresser with those soulless eyes.
Some old handheld systems.
Many a Diet Coke can.

I'll be back with more.

Wouldn't be much of a 40k novel collection without those books, would it? Of course I have those, the Eisenhorn trilogy were the very first three 40k novels I ever read.
Truth be told, it's getting difficult to keep up with all the new stuff coming out - just last night I stumbled over six new novels and two audio books I'd never even read about before. Guess I know what I'll be reading until the next semester starts in April... ^^°

You're from Windsor?...
Yep. I miss my hometown. I...

*spits out drink*

That's messed up! You and I share the same birthday as well. 3 Jan. Weird.

So, where do you reside? West end, South end, East end? By the bridge or out by Banwell? Curious minds want to know!
Actually, I'm an hour up the 401 in Chatham, I'm in Windsor a fair bit though.

Several hundreds of dollars worth of Halo 3 figures
Thats it for me, I guess

EDIT: This is a little hard to believe, but there is actually a yellow mach 1 sportscar waaay far into my woods, just sitting there
But it has since been looted, and pretty much all that's left is the frame and one of the doors :(

Gig tickets, and any plectrums or drumsticks I've gotten ahold of from them. I must say it is rather impressive, I've got tickets from many a fine band on my shelf.

My friends girlfriends house has a ROOM full of Warhammer. There is also a room where the painting and gluing happens. Her brother is clearly a bit odd.
What's odd about having a healthy hobby?
It stops being healthy when you've filled a room, using about 4 sets of shelves and three display cases, full of stuff. Especially considering how expensive Warhammer is...
Does it get in the way of his paying bills, eating and sleeping? There's nothing wrong with really enjoying something like that. I'm guessing you don't like 40k? It's quite a social game too, so it wouldn't be ruining that for him.

I have something along the lines of 30 elephant statuettes the likes from all around the world, ranging in size from 2 cm to a meter or so. Some have tusks made of real ivory, which I am not proud of. I got them from my grandfather.

Actually I do like 40K (I'm a black templars/necron guy if you're wondering), just not enough to spend hundreds and hundreds of pounds on it. And I'm guessing as he did it when he was a teenager bills aren't really much of an issue to him. Also, I'm pretty sure he didn't play it because otherwise he probably would've invested in a board or something.
