Your Eleanor...

If you have seen Gone in 60 Seconds (original or remake) you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't then 'Eleanor' refers to something that you cannot obtain, complete, or something along those lines due to bad luck or outside interference or whatnot. In the movies 'Eleanor' was the nickname of a car that the main character just could not successfully steal.

What is your Eleanor?
It could be a movie or game that you haven't finished, a boy/girl you can't seem to date, a team or club that you can't join...​

Mine was a PS1 game called Vandal Hearts 2. It took 6 or 7 attempts at the game before I finally beat it because of problems with various memory cards getting lost or corrupted, the disc getting too scratched to play, my first PS2 getting stolen, and my new PS2's refusal to play most PS1 games. It was worth it though, great game.

My Eleanor is a girl who is a close friend and who I can't get out of the friend zone with. Another Eleanor for me is any game in the Final Fantasy series (only PS2 ones, not the GBA/DS/etc. ones).

Have you tried yelling for an extended period of time, while clenching every muscle in your body? Also remember to give a speach beforehand stating how strong you will become. This should, of course, be done in the span of 3-6 22 minute episodes at a time.

The last time I tried that, I shat my pants.

My Eleanor is the perfect Sun set, I can see everything it needs, the contrast of bright pink against light blue, with deep grey and ominous black Stratocumuluses rolling past to either side at high speed. I know the kind of landscape needed to not only for fill this dream but also intensify it; imposing trees with their leaves ripping in the winds, a broke mix of fractured mountains, and the gentle rises and falls of untouched natural hills, the green turned pale by the shafts of light falling from the sky like tips of spears sent from God... or something else that falls in a really cool way...

The woeful part is how it wouldn't last more than a minute.

I'd also really like a fucking sandwich... I'm not even joking... I'm really bloody hungry, could someone get to the kitchen and make me one? Pleeeaaasssee....

Thats actually quite an obtainable car, its not even that expensive. Once the demand pricing drops and with a decent job its very possible to own one. Hell one of my friends has this car, and he makes less than i do.

Its not that I can't afford the car, its that I am afraid to drive it. I've driven the car once before, but the the overwhelming difference between that car and my car creeped me the hell out.

More seriously, I can't seem to beat KOTOR II. I get to the Kreia, kill her, and then the game just... Ends. There must be some other ending that I'm missing, but I've gone through being light side, dark side, and neutral. I can't find the key that gives me the good ending.

I'd say for the girl, there was a girl I knew in High School, and whom I asked out about once a year from Freshman year, through my Freshman year of college. Though, she stopped being my Eleanor when I realized she was actually a bit of a narcissistic twit... What can I say? She was really cute

Don't you worry, those things depreciate like hell. In 5 years you can buy a basic one for $ 10000.

For me, It is an Aston Martin. I don't care which one, vantage, DB5, DB7, Vanquish, DB9, DBS, V8 Vantage, it's going to cost 10 times my years salary. I just wish I could one day have that badge. That feeling of a pure British sports car. I've driven a DB9 in a trackday event (one lap) in the UK and I know I want more of that.

That, or then having a real Supermarine Spitfire of my own. Hell, even flying in one.
