If you could make a band comprised of your favorite musicians, who would the members be, and why? For me it would be:

Vocals: Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Audioslave)
Absolutely amazing vocal range and writes meaningful lyrics

Guitar: Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave)
Made new and unique guitar sounds by doing things like hitting the strings with a pencil, or scratching the strings.

Bass: Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Because RHCP has some funky bass grooves!

Drums: Keith Moon (The Who)
Because he was one of the inventors of "Rock Attitude", and because of his extremely unorthodox drumming style.
That band would be insanely sweet!

Have Andrew Whitman and Brendan Canning team up with The New Pornographers and you've pretty much got my dream band.

Well, I would have a heavy metal band, so...

Vox: Ozzy (Black Sabbath, solo artist)
- He's just too fucking metal! to leave out.

Lead Guitar: Janick Gers (Iron Maiden - interchangeable with Adrian Smith or Dave Murray, based on my mood, I guess :p)
- A metal band without an Iron Maiden guitarist? Impossible, I think.

Rhythm Guitar: Jesper Stromblad (In Flames)
- His rhythm licks add beauty to In Flames' songs - therefore, he makes my dream band.

Bass: Cliff Burton (Metallica)
- The greatest metal bassist. Ever. Would get Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth) to play at every gig.

Drums: Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana)
- No contest, probably. More rock than metal, but far too awesome to leave out.

Extra peoples:

Guest vocals: David Draiman (Disturbed)

Guest Lead: Randy Rhodes (Ozzy Osbourne), Jim Root (Slipknot, Stone Sour)

Guest Rhythm: James Hetfield (Metallica), Dave Mustaine (Megadeth)

My band would be an experimental electro-jazz-grind band.

Bass: Brian Gibson (Lightning Bolt)
Drums: Gabe Serbian (The Locust, Cattle Decapitation, Holy Molar)
Theramin: Clara Rockmore
Guitar: Ichirou Agata (Melt Banana)
Guitar 2: Wata (BORIS)
Trumpet: Miles Davis
Keyboard: Joseph Karam (The Locust)
Turntables: Qbert

That would be sweet. Weird but sweet.

It is generally pointless to make a dream jazz band because pretty much everybody has already played with everybody else.

That being said, I want Eva Cassidy on vocals.

Singer: Kurt Cobain
He's one of music's greatest singers, even before he was dead. Just a legend. His songs are always quite... I don't know how to describe them, but they make me think. And I like it when a song makes me think.

Lead Guitarist: Buckethead/Slash
Buckethead is - in my opinion - an extremely great guitarist, but that may just be my love of squeedly solos. But Slash would probably fit in better with Kurt Cobain's vocals, as Slash's style is a more classic Rock sound.

Bassist: Flea
Oh come on, he's one of the greatest bassists of all time.

Drummer: Keith Moon/Mike Wengren
Keith Moon... He'd fit in with the whole classic Rock thing I've got going for me here... But Mike Wengren (Drummer for Disturbed, who I'm not really a fan of) is quite good in my opinion. That being said, I've only listened to Down With The Sickness, but I just love the drumming at the beginning. It just adds to a pretty dark atmosphere that Kurt Cobain is good at adding to, Slash is great at - E.g: Slither by Velvet Revolver, Buckethead is pretty cool at - E.g: Shackler's Revenge by Guns N' Roses/The Axl Rose Project, and let's face it, Flea can do next to anything.

That would be my idea of a pretty cool band.

Singer: Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour): He can sing and shout, both well.

Guitarists: Slash (Guns n Roses, Velvet Revolver) : Because it's Slash..
Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society) : No good reason but his beard.

Bassist: Steve Harris (Iron Maiden) : He made bass cool for me.

Drums: The Rev (Avenged Sevenfold) : Good drummer with some crazy backing vocals.

Keyboards: Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish) : Great Keyboarder (is it -er?) and songwriter.

Keyboard - Toby Smith (from early Jamiroquai)
