All the major magical superpowers fear him, he is the Blackstaff (Assasin/wetworks man) of the white council (good wizards) and is considered to be the most powerfull combat wizard in the world. The guy had 100 guys, most part vampire making them a real ***** to kill, charge him and he just raised a hand and they fell down dead.
He once pulled a satalite out of orbit and made it crash on a guys house for attacking his friend/pupil.
Also a guy called Ebenezar McCoy from The Dresden Files.
