Does Vash the Stampede count?
He is technically really old (150?) but isn't human so looks only 25 or so

I'm going to raise mid-50's up to 'Old' even though as far as I see it that's just the ass-end of middle aged just so I can get some of these on.

In Games? Bill.
In Books? Sam Vimes.
In Real Life? John Malcolm Thorpe Fleming Churchill.
In Film? Clint Eastwood.
Overall? Odin.

It's Walter White from Breaking Bad. Heisenberg is the name he goes by in the meth business.

Oh, that's the show about the guy with cancer and ruining other people's lives while trying to secure his family's future, right?[/quote]

Pretty much. Great show, you should check it out.

Seriously, guys? No one? Okay then.

Okay, so he's more of a badass middle-aged guy, but he's still old compared to the average age of the show's characters and, more to the point, really damn badass. Because when you're about to attack the most feared vampire in history, don't you arm yourself with nothing but a single Molotov cocktail and a baseball bat?

I've also gotta side with everyone on Roland Deschain, and add in Father Callahan and, for good measure, literally every character over the age of 40 that Stephen King has ever written.

Also?

Does Sam Vimes count? If not, I'm going for Morgan Freeman and/or Christopher Lee... for obvious reasons.

Could I just say The Expendables and leave it at that?

Well, also Clint Eastwood, Harrison Ford, Sean Connery, Liam Neeson...

Basically anyone who is over 50 years of age and is/was an action hero.

Uncle Iroh is a favorite of mine but I will have to add Patrick Stewart to the list, the guy doesn't look like he has aged since the early 90's And I mean c'mon, he is Picard, Professor X, and Bullock!

Bayaz, First of the Magi, from 'The Blade Itself' by Joe Abercrombie.

He's a borderline god-like mage who has a hand in every plot. His ability to manipulate people, factions, even empires, is masterful, and nothing happens that he isn't already expecting.

Physically he's an unassuming, fairly regular looking older man. He's tall and broad, with a butcher's look about him, but a certain intelligence is evident in his face and his expressions.
His way of dealing with his enemies is what makes him so damn badass. Bayaz will gladly sit down and talk to someone who means him harm. He hates formality, so he'll just talk to a king or emperor like they're a regular person, but if they get above their station and threaten him, shit gets real.

Seriously, you don't want to mess with him. When he's pissed the very space around him starts to warp and darken, and if he wants someone dead, he can basically just turn them inside out with his mind.

Don't fuck with Bayaz.

Vincent Price, because when he gets a white beard and becomes the witchfinder general, shit gets serious.

Lee Marvin, because he's the quintessential semi-drunk old badass.

Jack Palance, because he craps bigger than any of these guys.

Charles Bronson, because he's Charles fucking Bronson ************!

Angus Scrimm, because he has an invincible army of evil dwarfs and brain sucking spheres.

Clint Eastwood......before the empty chair

I think his position has been usurped by Morgan Freeman, however...

Saul Tigh, William Adama, and Romo Lampkin...all of BSG fame.

Sam Fisher, Captain John Price, Admiral David Anderson, and Admiral Steven Hackett are on the top of my head as far as games.

But in reality...Chuck fucking Norris, Guro Dan Inosanto, Gordon Liu, Jackie Chan, and Sammo Hung. I also like Jet Li, but he is 49 and I do not know exactly what age someone gets to be called "old."

Probably an obscure reference but; David's Grandfather from the 1998 PC RPG Silver. You never find out his real name but he kicks some serious arse the time he's in your party...also the graphics make it look like he's only wearing scraps of armour compared to David's full plate...

Jolee Bindo obviously.

Sorin Markov from Magic the Gathering, he's over 900 years old...also Niv-Mizzet.

Tirion Fordring, Eitrigg, Malfurion and Saurfang from WoW.

Wiseman (the avatar not the player) from the .hack games.

And I guess Lucifer from Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call.

From TV, he's not really old being only 50 but he's a badass; Malcolm fucking Tucker.
