Probably due to his association with the world of the dead. A western audience would be somewhat confused by what they take for hell being ruled by a nice guy.Dirty Hipsters said:I'm not sure why Hades is constantly shown in popular media as a villain. In actual Greek mythology he was a pretty cool guy.Regiment said:Apocalymon is pretty good, what with "destroy all the universes" as a special attack.
Does Hades from the Disney movie count? He's awesome.
This does convey a certain level of kick-assery.ninonybox360 said:Im defiantly giving my vote for the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony himself.

Most of the time, the Hereticus deals with former imperial citizenry that are suspect or convicted of heresy such as planetary governors, nobility, military turning to chaos (and sometimes the greater good). Malleus however focuses mostly on daemonic hosts that are seen as openly demonic such anything from the warp rifts (chaos space marine warbands and of course daemons). However like you have said, the two offices occasionally are caught at an impasse in which jurisdiction is given to the side that can politically outmaneuver the other (see Siege of Vraks [http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Siege_of_Vraks]).Zantos said:I've been wondering where they draw the line between Hereticus and Malleus. Say Dave, Ordo Hereticus is taking out a bunch of Khorne cultists, and he discovers they've managed to summon some sort of warp creature. At what point does he just leave and get a message to his mate Steve, Ordo Malleus to come over with a few Grey Knights to sort it out?DoPo said:And I wanted to say

I'd have to say that my favorite evil god would either be the Stranger or the Many-Faced God, both from a Song of Ice and Fire.Leemaster777 said:A common staple of fiction is the whole "Evil God" thing.
So, who are some of your favorites? Oh, and for the purposes of this, "Godlike" counts.
Manotork still saved all of humanity. There is that tiny detail. He was also a fertility god to the ancient Khmer. I think at one point the devs hinted that the yellow god we don't know the name of would likely be the big bad of the theoretical sequel. I don't think he was ever shown as being released from his bindings at any point, either, since Pious did it with Mantorok's own magic(k).Schadrach said:Ah, but Mantorok was the great schemer of the entire game (mostly through manipulating the Roivas line). By interacting with multiple alternate realities simultaneously, he got his siblings (each of which he is stronger than, but who he cannot handle in aggregate, which is how he was chained in the first place) to fight and defeat each other, and lead to being released from his bindings. If there were a sequel, he would be the big bad.
When the time comes, he'll consume internet-fed nitpickers along with the rest. You can voice your objections with him then.DoPo said:Umm, Chtulhu is not a god. Lovecraft represented him as some sort of weird powerful being and there were some cults of his but Cthulhu isn't a deity. Just some weird entity. Calling it an "alien" is way more accurate.DugMachine said:inb4 Cthulhu.
My favorite evil god is Cthulhu lol
