Your favorite Fallout 3 weapon

What is your favorite Fallout 3 weapon? What do you like most about it? If it is an upgraded weapon, what it is an upgrade of? Where did you find it (if is a Broken Steel only weapon please tell)? Do you have any complaints about it?

My favorite weapon is probably the Terrible Shotgun, which is an upgraded Combat Shotgun. 69 damage and the ability to take out any human targets in one headshot makes it an awesome weapon to wield. My one complaint about it is that you a dumptruck full of combat shotguns to keep it properly maintained and even a few shots will drastically degrade its condition.

I hate to be that guy, cos you seem really nice. but this has been done way too much recently. Also reservist rifle for me.

The Reservist Rifle is nice, but keeping it maintained it a complete headache.

I like the Shiskebab as well as the Ripper in terms of melee weapons. I just started playing so I haven't found a lot of cool weapons but I do like the Chinese Assault Rifle. It's simple and does some decent damage plus ammo is pretty common for it.

Another weapon that is a ***** to maintain once you get to level 20 is Ol' Painless. Once you get past level 15, the only enemies that wield hunting rifles are Super Mutants, which are replaced by Brutes with Assault Rifles.

Just Hunting Rifles you find nearly everywhere.

The Gauss Rifle. Specifically the indestructible kind. Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm a cheater, but it's nigh impossible to maintain the regular one, since there's absolutely nothing that you can use to repair it.

Hunting Rifle.

It's all you need on normal, hell, I used it until I was level 31 on V.Hard and entered Point Lookout.(those tribals have higher damage resistance than the power armour wearing enclave)
There's enough ammo for the Hunting Rifle, easy to maintain because almost every encounter has a hunting rifle user and it actually makes the whole game too easy.

My current favourite weapon is one from a mod. A crowbar.
