I find that you can never go wrong with the trusty old hunting rifle. :D
The scoped magnum is also good if you want to snipe and still be able to defend yourself if the target gets too near.

I have a list. The Deathclaw Gauntlets (i have a character with 50 severed hands in his house), the unique Plasma Rifle, Axe, and Bottlecap Mines.

Although for sheer style the Silenced 10mm is pretty awesome.

The scoped magnum and the simple revolver.

I tried to style my character after a troubled, post-apocalyptic, young version of Clint Eastwood.

I still haven't found a mod that'd put in a replica of the 44. Magnum, which could blow your head off, and has one extra round than would be expected.

The Gauss Rifle. Specifically the indestructible kind. Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm a cheater, but it's nigh impossible to maintain the regular one, since there's absolutely nothing that you can use to repair it.
Gary 23?

I'm rather partial to my "simulation" weapons. My invincible combat shotgun and blood mess perk will obliterate all who oppose me.
Absolutely, Gary 23 is my homeboy. Without him, none of my great successes would ever have been possible.

And I forgot to mention that the Gauss Rifle is from the Operation Anchorage DLC. It's definitely worth it for the indestructible weapons and armor, plus all the free ammo if you feel like spending the time.

This. I also like the Alien Blaster.
I hear you find the Alien Blaster near Minefield. Am I right?
Not exactly, but Minefield is a good place to start. The place where the Alien Blaster is doesn't have a map marker, but I'm pretty sure if you head due west from Minefield, you'll find the Alien Crash Site. (It might be north, I don't really remember.)

There's also a second one in the Enclave Mobile Base Crawler in Broken Steel, but you can only get it of you can pick hard locks or if an enemy grabs it out of the box. If you haven't done this part yet, level up your lockpick skill and get the scrounger perk. If you do, you can get a second Alien Blaster as I mentioned above, but also hundreds of Alien Power Cells.

Then again, I have a feeling that none of these things will be rarities anymore with the arrival of Mothership Zeta.

Could be, but I find it easier to go north from the waste disposal site(as seen on the map), follow the road until you get to a bridge and then you should get a signal(stay on the right side of the bridge). Then go off the road and you should find a crashed alien ship.

It's not the strongest weapon in the game but the only one stronger is a random encounter.
I suggest taking Dogmeat to that spaceship and have him find the weapon and all ammo for you, that way you won't miss anything.(the ammo there, and the ammo you get from the encounter, about 200 total, is all the ammo in the game without any DLC or mods)

Yea! You have a fact! What should we do with it?

I feel like its justified that we do the thread at least once everytime a new DLC comes out.
