Wolves under Sail.
Awesome folk metal.
Vikings,battles,pirates....
That kinda thing.
Definitely take a look at it.

This one is about a pirate ship called the Neverender (blown to Hell, but she'll never surrender)

Pretty much everything hipster in my music library, except some of my other mainstream favorite like the 70s progrock bands thrown in there.

There's a lot, so if there's something specific you were looking for, just ask.

Sadly, I can't listen to any of this stuff for a good couple weeks since Opeth's new album leaked today, and that's all I will listen to until I feel otherwise.

Is it wrong that I came to this thread to skim for bands I recognize? I feel like I'm doing this wrong...
Anyways, Streetlight Manifesto seems to be a pretty unknown band. So is ska in general I suppose.

Most of the lesser known music I like is very theatrical, without being melodramatic. So, here goes: Kayo Dot; Miasma and the Carousel of Headless Horses; Sleepytime Gorilla Museum; Evelyn Evelyn; A Whisper in the Noise; Guapo... so on...

Nice to see I'm not the only one listening to Sunn O))) and Boris (my absolute favourite). On the other hand I listen to alot of messed up artists like Nurse With Wound, Current 93, Psychic TV, Xasthur, Venetian Snares, and some more "normal" bands and formations like Pelican, Ulver, Eluvium, Dead Can Dance, Arcana (perfect music to listen to while playing a fantasy-themed game) and most of the bands playing in the drone metal genre (Jesu, Earth, Nadja, Black Boned Angel, etc). I think I can safely be called a hipster when it comes to music, as my favourites roster looks all the way like this.
