NiCad.
Not their best song, honestly, but the one people like the most.

My friend introduced them to me since he knows them personally. They've been in the papers a few times but never actually blew up.
Which is a shame. They're really quite good.

Eatliz.. their first album was fantastic, had such variety and not one song sounded like the other. their second album was more sales oriented but still very unique.

Apparently, Huey Lewis and the News is unknown to my peers. I mean... Why? They're AWESOME!

My other favorite band is Queen, which IS recognized here. Thankfully.
People don't know Huey Lewis and the News? Really? When the hell did that happen?

I like Apocalyptica. Cellos are cool.

I dont like any bands, as that would mean at least person would know about them, and thats far too mainstream for me.

Birdeatsbaby are pretty awesome. Here are a couple of their songs.

Voltaire's also really cool, but he's been mentioned, so I guess he's not that obscure. Oh well.

Passion Pit, they are just freaking amazing.

They are probably better know for their song "Sleepyhead" which is the Official LittleBigPlanet 2 theme song.

Sleepyhead : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bfseWNmlds

But to me the best song they have out is "Little Secrets" because it's just such a good jam.

The Go! Team are a great band too and i highly recommend looking them up

Lately I've had quite a preference for Neofolk, Martial Industrial, Neoclassical, and Europe/White heritage music. Vladimír Hirsch is a recent favourite.
It's nice to see that other people here enjoy that kind of music as well :)

OT: Okay, most of my favourite bands aren't well-known on a big scale.

Examples:

Yeah, I think that's about it. That are quite many bands when I think about it...

Personally I listen to Machinae Supremacy alot, and I'd say they're not all that big or known.
Fairly upbeat metal known as SID-Metal.

Another fun band is Goldie Lookin' Chain.

I like them too! I just didn't list them because I figured they weren't "lesser known". I have no idea what is and isn't...

Mother...Fucking Warpaint!

Whenever I hear something like Katy Perry, then i don't hear about these talented bunch of girls, it's just depressing.

These girls are attractive, but at the same time, they make some great music. Surely that's something to cherish in this day and age.

I've seen them twice, and have shook hands with all of them (which was a dream come true, I might add). They live up to their music, and fingers cross they get big soon.

Also, i really like this grunge band called Mother Love bone, who were pre Pearl Jam (most of the band was in Mother Love Bone before they disbanded after the singer Andrew Wood died, and went on to make Pearl Jam. Temple of the dog was also made in memory of Andrew Wood's untimely passing at age only 24.)

They, at the time were overshadowed by the other grunge bands, and they only made one album. I really like their glam style influence they had, which was very unique in grunge music. Shame that great things such as this have the end so soon, they could of been huge, but then again, Pearl Jam wouldn't of came in fruition if not for his death.
