Nope, this is the best intro in the Star Ocean series, and is one of my favourites.

I am astounded that no one has mention the numerous intros and cut-scenes for Wacraft III and it's expansion The Frozen Throne.

Both of those have some of the most realistic and epic cinematic videos in gaming history, in my opinion at least.

Also, shoutout to Pokemon red for being the first game I played. I don't know why, but something about the opening cut scene really amazed me. Probably because I was 5.

The intro to Dragon Warrior 3 was pretty awesome for the time too.

Final Fantasy 7 would win it for me hands down. Though I always loved the Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos trailer that came with Warcraft 2 B.Net edition and the intro to Total Annihalation also deserves an honourable mention.

I really like MvC3's opening cinematics. They're so awesome.

These. Especially the minimalistic feel of the Ryu vs Wolverine. Then Cap blocks a helicopter...
Borderlands was fun, and Just Cause 2 had you jumping out of a helicopter almost immediately
The opening sections (first 30 or so minutes) of AC II and Brotherhood were fun. Especially the music after the race with the brother in AC II.
Dragon's Age Origins
MechWarrior 4 and MechCommander 2 both had fun intros as well. Don't make me choose.

Say what you want about it, but I personally loved it. Especially the part immediately following this where you run through the ship in a straightjacket. Not the best of all time, but the best one I can remember.

Also for me, it has to be the Modern Warfare 2 opening. Made me think I was in a war movie.

Also, Bioshock 1. I love how nobody notices the 'WOuld you kindly kill the pilot?' Until the part it actually highlights it.
