Say what you will about Mass Effect 3's ending, but "The End Once and For All" is one of the greatest OST's ever made in my opinion.

I've been listening to this song for a year and a half and it just does not get old. It's so fantastically amazing.

Oh and LoL has some surprisingly awesome log-in music

Lulu's is obviously still the best, being all whimsical and all. Oh one of her skills is called Whimsy? HOW 'BOUT DAT SHIT?!

I still love how much Syndra's log-in music fits her as a character. So badass

"Let them try to stop me."

Alright, as some of you may know, I'm a massive Ace Combat 5 fanboy, it's definitely in my top 5 favorite games ever released or to be released. So, I'm going to have to say the most outstanding and beautiful OST is from that game. I'll provide an example:
^ I highly recommend that one.

And this one
Oh, since I'm also a Massive Mass Effect fan, I should also mention the music in Mass Effect 2

EDIT: Oh, also Mass Effect 3's music was a whole lot better than I thought, especially because they replaced Jack Wall in the making of it...

I really like BlazBlue's OST. A few more of my favourites are Okami, Persona 3 and 4, Kingdom Hearts and Touhou.

While it doesn't really count, Touhou's also got a ton of awesome fan remixes.

Also, this is my thousandth post. Go me!

Deus Ex, the mass effect and halo series, and Crysis 2 are my favorites. Like several others as well; I see Bastion has already been mentioned. Even modern warfare 2 had a good soundtrack. In fact, I'm consistently surprised at how good game soundtracks generally are.

Okami is currently among my favorites, next to Tales of Symphonia.

The Sun Rises and Giving Kushinada a Ride are my absolute favorite two tracks from Okami. I also love the music that plays during the credits for Okami HD, but I can't seem to find it, or even its name, anywhere(Okami PS2 had Reset by Ayaka Hirahara playing during the credits, Okami HD plays something different).

Also, Fatalize and Fighting of the Spirit are my two favorite tracks from Tales of Symphonia.

Also, the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series and every single associated game has absolutely wonderful music.

The World Ends with You. Fits really well with the game's trendy futuristic style, and blends perfectly with the battle

Super hip. Super freakin' hip.

I will post the same song I always do in these types of threads:
Bastion has the best OST ever IMO.

The Mass Effect series also has an awesome soundtrack. Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker is another great one.

Every Sonic game ever except Sonic R. Even Sonic 2006...I guess that's one thing that game has going for it.

I can never decide which game has my favorite OST: Halo 3: ODST with it's beautiful, jazzy noir ambient music, or Portal 2 and DAT TECHNO.

I've got a bunch of different soundtracks kicking around, some of my favourites are:

Ben Prunty - Rockmen (Battle) from FTL

Mark Morgan - Smoldering Corpse Bar from Planescape: Torment

Michael McCann - 1. Icarus - Main Theme from Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Hanz Zimmer - Crysis 2 - Insertion

Adam Skorupa & Krzystof Wierzynkiewicz - The Path of a Kingslayer from The Witcher 2

Jesper Kyd - Welcome to Fyrestone from Borderlands

My favourite soundtrack of a game is hard to choose, but for an OST it has to be Deus Ex: HR.

All cool soundtracks. Pretty awesome games too :)

The Kingdom Hearts series is loaded with awesome tracks.

I'm particularly in love with : Disappeared (the KH1 version), Night of Fate, Lord of the Castle, Rage Awakened, Dismissed, A Fight to the Death, Vector to the Heavens, Enter the Void, The 13th Dilemma, The 13th Struggle, Desire for all That is Lost, Fragments of Sorrow, Deep Drive, Forze dell'Oscurita' (Forces of Darkness), Darkness of the Unknown, L'Oscurita' dell'Ignoto (remix of DotU), L'Eminenza Oscura I (The Eminence of Darkness), L'Impeto Oscuro (Dark Impetus), and Xehanort-The Early Days.

I am also loving Heaven's Divide from MGS: Peace Walker.

I second this all the way! The soundtrack is just as unorthodox as the rest of the game, and it paid off big-time. Amazing music for those into pop, electronic, hip-hop, and all the modern genres in general.

Those of you who like Jazz should look into L.A. Noire's soundtrack if you haven't already. Every single piece brought out one of my more pleasant memories of playing that game, even though I didn't like it that much in the end.

I'm also surprised that Pokemon hasn't been mentioned yet. The gameplay may get stale from time to time, but the music is never anything less than magical.
