Your favorite starter weapon?

The Wrench in Bioshock, I'm not entirely sure but I think that "zap 'em then whack 'em" combo will serve you pretty well throughout the entire game.

I really liked Red Faction: Guerrilla's starting sledgehammer and remote mines. My friends and I play Jenga (we take turns hitting a building and you lose if you collapse the building) in that game just using those weapons.

Fine. The Heavy's Minigun in TF2. Screw Natascha, I can kill puny mens just fine without an upgrade.

EDIT: Oh, or your fists in the TES games...assuming you're playing an Unarmed specialist

Anything with a 9mm gun. Small calliber, which makes it a lot more challenging and fun =) I hate those games that throw you in with a bfg or a full on arsenal at the start, etc.

The Red Faction: Guerrilla Sledgehammer.

One hit kill on every enemy
You can level almost every building with it.
Running up to someone and smashing their face with a sledgehammer is way more epic than any gun or explosive.
Need I say more?

Oh whats that, your still not convinced? What about the challenge that involves running with the sledgehammer and whacking a gas canister towards a far away cliff to destroy the building on it. Yeah, that epic.

Brutal Legend gave you two weapons right at the start: the ax and Clementine. Clementine is probably my favorite starting weapon of all time EVER. You use it through the whole game, unlocking new solos, new special moves, new guitar strings...plus it electrocutes people.

If Halo 2 didn't ruin it, I'd say the Pistol though.

Really? I tossed it as soon as I got the Assault Rifle. It seemed fairly useless in my opinion.

MGS3: Fists, knife, and silenced tranquilizer pistol, that's pretty much all I used the entire game.

Can you even get non FMJ rounds for an M4?

I prefer pistols.
