Seconded really, although I don't care thát much about the CryEngine2 since looks aren't that important to me. I do adore the Source engine, and what you can do with it. So many possibilities, and the games created with it still look good as well. L4D, TF2, Portal, they all have brilliant graphics in my opinion but they need only a fraction of the system specs a game like Crysis or Far Cry 2 needs. I still wonder why they haven't made an MMO based on the Source engine. It would look brilliant and have low system specs, especially what an MMO needs.shaboinkin said:For versatility: Source Engine

Hmm, what about the source engine? Valve uses it exclusivley.AkJay said:Also: What was the engine they made Left 4 Dead with? i know it wasn't the Source engine.
I think it acually was the source engine.AkJay said:I like the Source Engine, and whatever engine they made Fallout 3 with, that's cool too.

I don't think it was, i remember reading that Garry's Mod could not include Left 4 Dead because it had a different engine then Half-Life, Portal, and TF2.iamq said:I think it acually was the source engine.AkJay said:I like the Source Engine, and whatever engine they made Fallout 3 with, that's cool too.

It's a modified Source. That's why, when you load up Left 4 Dead, it says "Powered by Source."AkJay said:I like the Source Engine, and whatever engine they made Fallout 3 with, that's cool too.

I agree too. The Source engine is a fantastic piece of software, and it'd definitely go down as my favourite. The Cryengine2 is cool but... I just love Source, especially on my chips; HAR-HAR!Assassinator said:Seconded really, although I don't care thát much about the CryEngine2 since looks aren't that important to me.
