Splinter cell conviction's sound track was awesome not only the atmospheric music but it also had Building steam with a grain of salt by Dj Shadow. Truely amazing.

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, City Escape is just fucking awesome, and so is Live and Learn.

Tony Hawk has also been known for its kickass soundtrack.

Without a doubt, Doom.
P.s. It's pretty much No Remorse by Metallica (very old news but I thought I'd say so anyways.)

Either Morrowind, or Phoenix Wright. Whenever I hear the Morrowind theme I immediately want to go play it again. And the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney soundtrack is just awesome! One of the few games where I can just put on headphones and play it.

I wont embed specifics, because for these it'll take ages, but I'll mention the god-like abilities of Nobuo Uematsu and Frank Klepacki. Warcraft 2 gets in here too, for forcing me to hum Human 1 & 2.

Masters of memorable music right here.

Mostly from ME1 and ME2:
Most of this is just 4 notes played over and over again, yet it's so well done, portraying the scene, sadness and triumph perfectly.

to quote from the top youtube comment on the video:
"Every once in a while, there's a rare magic moment in game when soundtrack, game play, and story align in sync and make for a moment of unforgettable immersion. Running through gunfire on Virmire to this track was one of those rare moments for me." This.

both of those are missing from the OST for some bizarre reason. See the above video, It's the same feeling, but not to the scale virmire did it. Those 2 songs still makes adrenaline go through me as I play.

Everything from Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC was awesome, but this song I feel was the best. It suited the pacing and the scene so perfectly.

Because, chanting isn't done enough and well enough in games.

Casltevania Dawn of Sorrow
Casltevania Portrait of Ruin
Castlevania Order of Ecclesia

Advance Wars Dual Strike
Advance Wars Days of Ruin

There are other good ones but those 5 are the best imo

Right now, I'm enjoying Child of Eden's soundtrack. With Tetsuya Mizuguchi, you really can't go wrong. I didn't even know I liked electro-pop.

Also my arm is completely fucked up now. I guess the Kinect wasn't kidding when it told me to take a break.

Yes, I keep a .txt of my answers to these threads. Giving an answer more than once is too damn boring.[/sub]

I'd say that Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie had a good soundtrack. Memorable melodies with instruments fitting the worlds.

Then again, I grew up with Banjo Kazooie so it might just be nostalgia talking.

Also, can someone tell me how to make brackets on a Mac keyboard? It's extremely annoying to copypaste them to embed a video.

obviously tony hawk some great bands there
Agreed a lot of my favourite music has come from tony hawk games. Also the radios in the gta games have good music (or one of the radio stations will).
