How on earth does a female skeleton have breasts? Are they just velcroed onto her ribcage? Are her boobs made of bone?

My mind is boggling at the thought...

It's comic books, which means "ordinary" women passing by on the street have DDs and aerobics-instructor bodies. A skeleton with boobie bulges is more realistic than many of the other female characters.

Seriously, Misato's probably the only animated woman I've ever really had the hots for. It's not so much her looks as much as her personality. One half of her is an assertive, fun loving lady who'd be great fun on a night out, and would totally drink you under the table to boot. And the other half is a total woobie who you'd just want to hug and protect and tell that the world is a good place, and everything will be alright. The only possible downside is that, being military, she could kick your ass a thousand different ways if you ever did anything to piss her off.

...Goddamn! Why Shinji never got with her when he had the chance, I'll never know...

Well you know, his whole fear of women and all. And Misato is a whole lotta woman.

Oddly enough, in real life, I'd probably prefer Daisy over Peach. I mean she's got sort of that sassy charm, short brown hair, she's got stuff I usually like.

Gonna be a little cliche here. My top three crushes on fictional characters:

Samus Aran. Not just because she's a hot blonde in space, although that really doesn't hurt. It's because she stays cool under pressure, she's always in control of every situation. Samus is sexy, yes, but she's also confident and smart and even compassionate.

My man crush: The Doctor. Preferably David Tennant, (Matt Smith is also adorable, but I would never be able to stop laughing at his massive chin) because he's clever and funny. He's got the whole universe to see, and I want to see it with him. Or her, depending on how the regenerations go.

I notice that confidence seems like a major turn-on for me, but that changes with my platonic crush: Fluttershy. I can't help myself. She's just so friggin' adorable, I just want to hug her and let her know that everything will be okay.

Yeah, that moment, I remember it well. And don't forget the moment in EoE either, next to the elevator. How such a social cripple manages to get such a hot woman repeatedly putting the moves on him is beyond me. Although I've always thought it interesting to note that

given the strong Freudian overtones of the series, Misato is the only thing close to a mother figure Shinji has. A lot of people get weirded out by the implication that there's an attraction between the two, but I can't help but wonder: what would you expect from a show inspired by a guy whose main claim to fame is the Oedipus Complex. I think within the narrative, it would make a certain amount of squicky sense...

You just struck the core of Misato's relationship with Shinji. She is more or less a mother to Shinji, but the only way she can seem to express affection, whether it's consoling someone else or finding solace for herself, is through physical means. Which is what makes their relationship so fucking weird.

All three of the main female characters of the show represent an aspect of womanhood. Or should I say, represent a side of how men see women.
