I recently sang for a tuna commercial, and got 50 euros(around 49.25 dollars. I dont know the value in pounds) for it. That was my first pay check. What was yours and what did you do for it?

Um... a few months ago when I worked at a summer program called gateways... about $400. However, taxes took of about $50. Still, I'm only 15 so I was happy.

I got mine doing work experience, by doing extra work they agreed to pay me minimum wage for the week. I don't remember how much it was, but I was stacking shelves in superdrug.

As a kid I had a newspaper delivery route; the money was pitiful in today's terms, but back then I had a decent amount of discretionary cash to spend on luxuries like books, movies, and model kits. (And I had the doctors-and-lawyers route in my neighborhood, too, which meant Christmas tipping like you wouldn't believe. Yay for filthy luchre!)

My first cheque, as opposed to cash, payment for working was probably from my high-school job at a local self-serve gas station. I think it was $75 for two 12-hour shifts, but that was 1983 dollars and so not as paltry as you might think.

I've only ever done work experience and that was in a finace department in my local council. Huge building, most of the workers are self involved pricks that think they're better than everyone else because they have an easy office job.

Also, why does every one in this world drink tea and coffee at work? I would prefer to drink liquidised pubes.

Am I the only person who laughed out loud at that line?
Haha, no!

My first check was from working at a movie theater, my parents made me give it to them though, I forget their reason, but I didn't see one penny of it.

I recently got a job at a dry cleaners(my first job), and I made $300 dollars in my first week because there were so many free hours, but now hours are tight so i only make around $65 a week.

My first paycheck was for 5 quid. Used to clean in a butchers before school.
Spent it on a codemasters spectrum game (Dizzy)

Ah-hah. The closest thing I've gotten to a paycheck was $20 CDN for throwing fish pellets into our neighbors koi pond while she was off at the lake for a week.
