The Original, and what many would say the best, Pokemon Red. Off Topic but still sorta on this topic, is anyone else excited for Pokemon Black And White coming in March?

I still have my original copy of Pokemon Blue. I've had several copies throughout my life. All blue. In fact I've never touched a version of Pokemon Red. Not that I have anything against it, really. Pokemon Red seems so alien to me. I see it and I think; "this is Pokemon? Why is there not a Blastoise on the cartridge?"

God that game was fantastic though.

I got my Blue version as my birthday gift when I was 6.
After that I became a huge pokemon fan, so I had to catch them all!
Games I have:
Blue
Gold
Sapphire
LeafGreen
Diamond
HeartGold
and soon White.
My friend has all the opposite games.
Are you me?

-snip-Snap on the N64.
God I loved Pokemon Snap, such a fun game.

Either yellow or blue, I can't remember. Also, I hate Charizard but love Charmander (also, if you like Charizard, leave it as charmander until level 34, then it learns flamethrower and you can still have Charizard by level 36).

I liked Bulbasaur though, always nice to have poison immunity and not have to worry about super-effectives from all those Koffing (and a Lapras/Pikachu/Haunter took care of those pesky poison/flying Zubats for me).

EDIT: Actually, speaking of poison types, a really fun play-through was purple pokemon only. So you have a Rattata, a Golbat (its wings are purple dammit), Arbok, Haunter, Shellder for surf. Also a Butterfree if you didn't mind levelling through those pesky green pre-volutions.

It was Pokemon red or was it blue? I'm not sure anymore. I think I've traded the games a few times when I was a kid, now I have blue. I'm not sure how I got either, I think it was because I saw everyone play it in school and I wanted to have it too, so I asked my parents to buy me one.

Red and Blue running on a GBC emulator (couldn't afford an actual system and my parents would only buy me one console per generation, which I thought was fairly reasonable).

I got yellow with a gameboy colour that looked like this for christmas when I was ten:

then gold and then it stopped there because I had a moment where I believed that guys don't like it when girls play video games.
yeah I was dumb!

Yellow, and I've gotten every version since...

...and caught them all in every version...

...and plan to get Black and White as well.

I'm officially a fanboy, aren't I?
yep, join the club! we have t-shirts (and no girlfriends *sniff*)
Well...don't be too sure of that. I actually met a man who plays the Trading Card Game who has two daughters both of whom ALSO play the Trading Card Game.

Oh yeah...forgot that. I also play the TCG as well. Started with an "Anti-Zap" Deck (Fighting/Psychic) and now use a "Legends of Psychic and Steel" deck.

Now...if only there were, like was mentioned in several other threads here on the Escapist, a Pokémon MMORPG.

I started coincidently when it all started, with Pokémon Blue.

'Cos let's face it, if you're going to buy a game with a giant monster on it, may as well make it the turtle with cannons in it's back.

Oh and I also collected the cards, stopped when the G&S generation came about, I have some of them in cards, but the only ones I ever mention having are my shiny Ampharos and shiny Japanese Typhlosion.
