My first pokemon was red! I payed five bucks for it when I was seven years old, the kicker is the asshole that I had bought it from had taken a pencil to the inside of the cartridge and I couldn't save. I beat that game dozens of times, leaving it on all night in my Super Nintendo's gameboy game reader, or spending all day playing it until my batteries died right before I got to the elite four allowing me to have a nice cry before I went to sleep.

When I got my GBA I picked up a copy of Pokemon gold (having skipped GB Color I couldn't play it when it came out) and I to my joy I found out it could save, next I went to silver and then I bought a copy of Blue. On my DS I also have Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

I have also played Ruby, Sapphire, Fire Red, Leaf Green, and I am looking forward to White and Black!

Mine was Pokemon Yellow, too. I was about 10 and I stole a lv.100 Mew of my friend back in Primary school :)

I refused to have Red or Blue because I wanted to have Pikachu.
I then had silver I think and also Pokemon Stadium and Snap on the N64.

Very good times.
Haha, Yeah I have Pokemon Stadium and Snap as well on the 64.

I got Blue when it came out (Gameboy Color), then Gold,Crystal,Sapphire, then I grew up too much and lost interest when they started to look "too animated".

Started with Gold/Silver. For some reason I always got mad when someone touched my Gold but didn't care in the slightest if you played silver. Ho-oh wasn't even that great...

First one is Red, I doubt you will get a lot of people that will say anything besides Red/Blue/Yellow.

Funny story to go with that, I remember playing Red and choosing Bulbasaur as a starter. Since my English wasn't very good at the time, I was wondering what "Release" meant when you were using the PC. Out of curiosity, I pressed "release" On Bulbasaur and ended up confused to why he (?) was gone afterwards. Also, I didn't beat the first gym, which means I only had a Pikachu and Pidgey. I restarted my file afterwards and chose Charmander and beat the game later. But that's not the end of it, in Gold, while fighting Red, I had the most trouble taking down its Venusaur despite having a fire starter because the Venusaur would usually be the last one to die.

My first will be White. I've been meaning to pick up SoulSilver, but Black & White was announced and I decided to hold off and get the next generation instead.

Yellow. A friend let me borrow it. And I'll be damned if I didn't think Pikachu wasn't the most adorable thing in the world (at the time, of course).

Gold, Ruby, Pearl, Heart Gold. In that order. Also Played yellow first, and played Pinball shortly after (the one on GBC). Also I have easy access to Diamond.

Mine was Blue. My mom bought it for me from a used game store. Now I own every single Pokemon game ever made. Where ever there is Pokemon I shall be... My favorite will always be Blue. One must never forget where the obsession began!

I got my Blue version as my birthday gift when I was 6.
After that I became a huge pokemon fan, so I had to catch them all!
Games I have:
Blue
Gold
Sapphire
LeafGreen
Diamond
HeartGold
and soon White.
My friend has all the opposite games.

Pokemon yellow.

Consequently, this is also the first video game I ever played.

As well as my earliest memory.
