Stand off between me and another guy. I have a katana and he has a revolver. As I charge he unloads all shots into my chest and goes "WHY..WON'T...YOU...DIE?!" And with the last bit of strength I shove the blade up into to his ribcage and finishing him off before collapsing. Awesome.

And then you say something to the effect of "beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea Mr. (insert name here); and ideas are bulletproof.

Anyway, mine would be some sort of cavalry charge. Against orcs (so, probably as a Rohirim?).
A last-ditch banzai charge on horseback. While wielding a flaming sword. And screaming really, really loud.

Edit: Just had a more historically accurate, therefore cooler, idea. In an early 19th century battle, a similar last stand cavalry charge. The difference is that I'm going up against muskets, and possibly Frenchmen, so it is more suicidal. Also, I have a cavalry saber...

Uh oh....i've been rumbled. The difference was the certain someone you might be refering to survived after that just long enough to have another conversation, not dieing instantly. Also notice the lack of strangling in my version. Its quite a common cliche in movies so I think I can get away with it this time . Got to admit if you had to go, that would be pretty awesome.

I would be with a sniper rifle in a nearby tree as a support character, let them have the glory, I stand a better chance of living.

Stockpiling of explosvies with a single handgun clip left, and when I run out of bullets and get shot to the floor, I set off the explosives as my enemies pile in to finish me off.

This would preferably happen while my close friends and allies escape in a helicopter with dramatic orchestral music playing.

Id make mine in a gun fight, like having to hold off an area with only one objective:
Take as many of them out as you can (whatever they are). The heroic last stand finishes off with the enemy having to pull out their "trump card" like some super secret weapon that just obliterates all of us (Sort of like the machine guns at the end of the last samurai). Oh the glory.

ok mine has a lot of stuff to do with Stargate Atlantis so you wont get it if you havent seen it.
On my own in a wraith ships with only a P90, Ronon's gun and a sword surrounded by Wraith, replicators, Jaffa(because they damn well will be there!) and Lucien Lovin(Is that how you spell his name?) and the ship is rigged to blow in 1hour man that would be awesome because I would survive till the ship went up.

So yeah that would be freakin awesome.

EDIT: And I would be wearing a cowboy hat!
