Yes and no, It was a very small LAN party and of course this being the first LAN party I've done with xboxs I didn't ask any other attendess to bring over there 360 to give mine a rest, 36 hours later with very few breaks LAN is over. 20 minutes later after everyone leaves I get RROD. Luckily the day after I was able to get another one. Was it worth it? Yes. Did I lose my sanity during this? Yes.

My longest gaming session was 50 hours. A small LANParty with some friends. We played DotA, TF2, and a few other games. When the others would be falling asleep I'd still be awake playing Quake III Arena.

Longest I've ever marathon played was around 5 hours, that's with no breaks at all. The thing is I have a rule, NEVER pass up socializing/friends for gaming, and I've stuck by it pretty well since Junior High so the longest time I can ever get is about 5 - 7 hours.

Fallout 3. 30 hours. Straight. Migraine from hell, starving,a bit of a stink, a bit of an addiction xD along with about 12 hours of out solid cold slumber.

8/ That migraine knocked me straight out the second I paused the game and leaned my head back in the chair.

One the bright side, made level 20 in one play through xD;

Then I started a new character when I woke up 8P My friend punched me in the jaw for it, stating "NO MORE OBLIVION ******!" (er....I've made about 68 new characters in Oblivion, always max out a skill or become master of something or try a new race, then start again)

About 30 hours lanning Titan Quest with a friend. Loads of pizza and some weird high power energy drink. Damn cool.

34 hours. Silent Hills 1, 2, 3 and 4. Didn't realise how much time had passed until I checked the time. And the date. Then I realised I hadn't eaten, slept or taken a toilet break in 34 hours and had a panic moment. Ended up sleeping for 18 hours afterwards and woke up with the worst headache ever.

And, on a related note, it was foggy when I woke up. Kind of freaky, and had me jumping at my own shadow for a bit. Damn, those games are immersive.

As for the original question, I don't regret it, but I don't think I'd ever do it again.
I stopped playing Silent Hill after trying 4. 8/ My love died that day.

What happens when gaming is part of socializing with friends? :D

It is the low point of the series, but the second is my favourite game ever. I recently finished my twenty first playthrough.

Heart attack.

A few hours on a dance machine with a dodgy ticker at higher levels became a bit of a deadly activity for me =(
You just had to go and make everyone else's replies seem petty following yours, didn't you? Pfft.

NICE.

And yes, 2 is by far the best in the series.

Y'know, when having the nurses and Pyramid Head around MAKES SENSE and isn't for pure fan base >8/

Though the original is an excellent ground breaker, and the third is pretty decent in it's own right.

Yeah, I love 1 and 3 as well. I imported Homecoming and started it yesterday. It's alright, but I'm only up to the Grand Hotel part. I'm hoping it gets better.

I have had a few 12+ hour gaming marathons. But when ever I do, I have atleast a couple friends on board for it, and we arrange it before hand as a bit of a lan party when none of us have to work. The USUAL culprit is ofcourse WoW. But on the console side top down dungeon crawlers are awesome good fun (we need more, developers!!).

Once my room mate and I powered through the halo 3 campaign on legendary. Neither of us were very good, but we about 11 hours of campaign and some death match. We still laugh about it, since we were both in school, both working on assignments and had tests coming up. We both kinda had out study motivation snap and before we knew it, there was pizza and beer out and halo 3 on.

But I prefer the WoW marathons, I have my bar fridge in my room, so if I have to do an iron butt session, sustainance is but an arms reach away. Which rocks so impossibly hard. The next thing I have to do is put a micro wave on top of the fridge so I can nuke burritos as well. That and I am the priest, so I can merrily stuff my face while playing health bar whack a mole. :p

Like 14 hours? Followed the next day by a 10 hour session. It was when I first got Saints Row. I got the "Roaming the Streets of Stillwater" acheivent in a little over a day. For those who don't know, that's the acheivement you get for playing 24 total hours of Saints Row.

My reaction went about like "Oh...cool...I guess", my Dad was not proud.

I once played Halo 3 for 20 hours straight, during the "Bungie vs The World" event.

I regret nothing.

15 hours. Played Bioshock 2 from start to finish, had an hour break to make dinner, but that was it, really. I don't regret it, it was an oddly good way to experience the game, and it felt like a cohesive narrative - it's also the only time I've ever gamed that long my entire life, so I've no reason to consider it problematic.
