Your Marvel vs Capcom 3 team

I don't have a solid team right now, but I have a couple characters I switch in and out so far.

C. Viper is my main character... she's always on the team. Other then her,

X-23 or Wolverine

and

Ryu/Deadpool/Dante.

So far I play with a variation of these characters, though right now I'd say my most used team is:

C. Viper, X-23, Ryu. I can't stand slow characters in a fast game, and I love characters who can dash. Viper is badass cause she can air dash AND double jump. I need to figure out other characters like her.

Either you didn't read or understand my aforementioned post about Dante not being broken or you're just saying stuff without backup, either way, you did comment on what I have done since you talked about what the Dante users are posting here, of which I am one.

I already have played him, and like I said, I didn't care for him. The only evidence you've given on him being OP so far is that he can easily chain together combos. So can every single other semi-fast character. So quite frankly, you have no argument.

Well, I guess your argument is, "Dante is OP because I lose to him." Which is also ridiculous, because you've already admitted to purposefully picking the team that you're the worst with. ANY team of characters would beat you for that reason.

Wrong again, on 2 fronts. No other character on MvC3 can combo like Dante... NOT ONE! Do you know how easy it is to do massive combos when entering a single command does a several-hit combo? Then multiply that by the many different specials Dante has that are just like that... tie in the simplicity to do those single command combos, etc. Bascially, you either dont know what you are talking about or you are actively attempting to get away with blatant lies.

I never once said I lost a single match to Dante... not once nor did I say I use the characters I play worst with.

The best team I've found is:

Chris
Zero
Deadpool

This is the team I specifically use when my brother feels like being a ***** and using a Amaterasu/Zero/Pheonix combo. Fuck Dark Pheonix. Fuck X Factor. Fuck the Dark Pheonix/X Factor combination that boosts all her stats WHEN SHE SHOULD BE DYING; and fuck all of Amaterasu's spammy bullshit (I would probably use her myself if she wasn't my brother's favorite). Now I don't say that the team I use is "Best" based on any particular attacks, stats, or abilities. I just find it is incredibly easy to bullet spam with both Chris and Deadpool (particularly useful considering how much damage Amaterasu seems to take, even when blocking), while Zero is my best character when playing normally.

Actually I have read that comment, its ridiculous and complete bullshit. A character isnt OP because of what they can do at advanced levels, being able to do those advanced things is called "skill". So forgive me for firstly not reading your comment and then for wishing I hadnt read your comment because it is complete bullshit. Also Dante isn't overpowered, he's just easy to use.

Wesker/Ryu/Wolverine

Even though I really like fighting games, I completely suck ass at them, which is why I use Wolverine and Ryu, since they're the most straightforward characters to use and have really good combos. (I personally think that Shin Shoryuken is the most satisfying fighting move in all of fighting games) And as for Wesker, I added Wesker to my party as soon as he was announced as a playable character since he is after all my favorite video game character of all time. And right now Im at leased semi decent with him, but I think I can get better if I keep practicing.

And while tinkering around with other characters, I found two other teams that seemed like strange combinations, but seem to work for me for whatever reason.

Captain America/Dr Doom/C Viper and Deadpool/Chris/Dante

Thor or Hulk would be god tier too since they can do so much damage for such a few moves.


Just because a character is noob friendly or mash-friendly and effective without need for much skill (like Dante) it doesn't make him overpowered, it just makes him easy to use. As for combos, you really need to look up some 100% HP Felicia combos for no x-factor before branding Dante as the king of combos, his stuff prorates so bad that he's better at building meter than doing damage lol.


To summarize, only when used by the maximum level of skill and after having realized their full potential can a character be truly regarded as broken or not, currently mostly everyone who plays this game is a noob, doesn't know how to handle elementary situations and everything based upon the experience of someone like that simply is not an accurate depiction of the ultimate nature of the characters. It is an early impression that needs further supplementation and nothing more. To tread it as the end-all truth about a character being broken is very unwise and will net you nothing but wrongness.

Yes, we don't know yet, you're wrong to act as though what you're saying is fact when nothing is set in stone. Every premise of your idea is not there thus everything you say is unsupported and wrong until proven right. To jump the gun and brand chars broken when the game hasn't been out for a week and everyone still falls for stupid tactics that won't work a month from today is extremely stupid.

Okay, so you're saying that a character you've never lost to, not ONCE, is overpowered? That's the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard. Seriously. The very definition of overpowered is the ability to beat most other characters with little trouble.

Been reading the thread and I gotta say, Dante isn't overpowered by a large margin, sure he does massive combos, but the damage is tiny.

My team is:

Amaterasu
X-23
Morrigan

Ammy is a great all rounder, her heavy combo with the disk is brilliant, her projectiles are quite hard to get around and the Okami shuffle is one of the best supers in the game.

X-23 is, for me, the best rushdown character in the game, she's stupidly quick and can close the distance on keep away characters very effectively. Her level 3 super is also an ungodly unblockable attack.

Morrigan is basically another Amaterasu for me, I had problems finding a good 3rd character. Spider-Man's normals don't really have the speed and reach I'd like and Phoenix, while very powerful, dies very quickly. Morrigan has good projectiles, and a great super (it creates a mirror image of her behind your opponent) that is pefect for projectile spam and generally locking down characters.

I have a similar experience to yours only I too use Dante and can confirm that everyone sucks with him and can't do anything other than elementary stuff I could do after 5 minutes with the game.

The fact that he complains about Dante despite this reality just goes to show what ignorance is all about .
