I've used "Life sucks, might as well enjoy it" for years now, suppose that's my 'proper' motto. That and "You can always try...", which I usually use on situations where it's way beyond trying.

Common sense isn't common

I find that this applies in very many different situations.

As for my motto: I switch between two: "Civil disobedience is still disobedience." (Brownie points for you if you know where that's from without googling it), and "You're gonna go down like a cheap hooker!"

"Boredom is the breeding ground of creativity."
"You can never pick the wrong puppy, only the wrong owner."
"Save early, save often."
"If it works and it shouldn't, don't question it."
Just a few of mine.

"Time makes fools of us all, Love screws everyone and Life just goes on. My advice? Don't be named Love."

In fact, do. It might be worth it.

1. "Life is a sexually transimtted disease."
2.
"Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'." <-basically that.

"The Romans did not build a great empire by having meetings. They did it by killing all who opposed them."

The point? Don't sit around TALKING about DOING things... go out and DO things.

"Scientia est vox. Scientia est incendiavox"

Roughly translated.

"Knowledge is power. Knowledge is firepower

It's true. Oh, mine used to be;

Nothing's impossible? Slam a revolving door.
I once saw a video of a person being slammed by a revolving door, but that's another story.

Mine would be: You need to keep in mind what others think of you to avoid being arrogant and stuff but you also need to keep a lid on how much their thoughts affect you.

My solution to everything: Go outside on a sunny day for five minutes. Look at the blueness of the sky and the bright green of the trees and grass. Enjoy the warmth of the Sun and the coolness of the wind. I kid you not, by the time you walk back inside you'll feel better already.
