Borderlands 2
The original was the definition of excellence and the developer and publisher have never done anything to make me distrust them.

Lollipop Chainsaw is my next day one purchase, which is out this Friday but won't be able to play it until next Monday because I'm off on a stag weekend so hoping it turns up on Thursday.

After that, RE6 if it gets good reviews, not getting burned like I did with 5 again. Then The Last of Us because it looks good. Gonna wait and see what the deal is with Dead Space 3, if they have turned it into Gears of War then I can wait until it drops in price. Watch Dogs looks good too, will be keeping an eye on that too.

Also thinking of selling my version of Tales of Graces f and getting the special edition with the sound track and stuff when it is officially out in September.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion

Because the world needs more space RTS games, and I like the original game.

I'm not too sure on release dates, but it's probably gonna be Tekken Tag 2. I'm not buying any new games until I finish my backlog. There's only a few games left, but I'll be buying games I missed afterwards. That all should be done by the time Tekken Tag 2 comes by though.

Definitely Borderlands 2 and Ni No Kuni.

I'm still a little on the fence about Bioshock: Infinite and Torchlight 2, but I'm leaning towards a day 1 purchases.

I enjoy day 1 purchases. There's something about being able to play the game at midnight on the day it came out that really appeals to me. 95% of the time I end up happy with my purchase too, so the odds are good enough for me. In recent memory I bought Fallout: New Vegas, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f, and Skyrim, and all those have been worth the money.

Heart of the Swarm. Seeing as I consider Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty the greatest thing in the history of gaming, I think the expansion will be at least decent.

The complete lack of Persona 4: Arena in here is astounding.

Anyway, yeah, Persona 4: Arena.
Yup same here its my most looked forward to game of the year so is almost guaranteed day 1 purchase for me (money and time allowing) theres also DOA5 I think thats out after though but will probably get that near day 1. These will probably be my only other day one purchases this year (first was SCV) its just more economical to wait for me nowadays theres no point in me buying an epic game for 40 pounds only to not be able to play it for more than a few hours each month much better to leave it on the shelf and pick it up for a quarter of the price a few (or more) months down the line

Well... I think I'm gonna have to get Kingdom Hearts 3D, I'm just gonna have to.
Haven't currently got a 3DS... Maybe I'll get KH3D on release day and then just keep it in my room, unable to be played, until I can save up enough to get a DS. I mean really Square, I already bought a DS JUST FOR 358/2 and a PSP JUST FOR BBS, so I think I deserve some sort of recognition for that.

X:Rebirth or GW2, depending which hits shelves sooner.

X has always been a good series and I like the direction they're taking in rebirth, Egosoft has always made games for themselves and their fans and Deep Silver has always supported them in this exercise - so unlike EA acquisitions I have no fears of executive meddling crippling the game and will risk buying on day 1.

GW2, well... I can't for the life of me see how that could possibly suck. Like Egosoft, Arenanet has always been dedicated to doing their own thing and while their storytelling in the past might've been flaky at times, their gameplay execution and balance has always been excellent.

Electronic arts... microsoft game - I don't care if they create a game that claims to teleport hookers and blow into your bedroom, their games come with too high a price, too many cut corner and too many clauses. (DRM, DLC etc etc)

Dishonored or Assassin's Creed III (whichever comes out first).

Dishonored seems like the emergent, open gameplay of Deus Ex in the dystopian setting of Half-Life, and you can't get much better than that.

Assassin's Creed III looks to bring some great new features to the series, and I'm also interested to see how the story ends.

...What comes out first, Final Fantasy Theatrythem or, Kingdom Hearts 3D? Whichever one of those comes out first is my next day-one purchase. My next check is going to their pre-order so hopefully I'll have them on their release date if not a day or two later.

Wildcard though, in the form of whatever comics they get in this week at my local Beyond Comics...though the odds of me going in on tomorrow or, next Wednesday are SLIM.

I actually got Dragon's Dogma on day one. Not cuz I pre-ordered it or anything I was in the store with a buddy and we saw it and he said'oh hey i didn't know that came out, it looked pretty damn good in everything i've seen' i said "yeah did you play the demo? crazy fun" so we both bought it. It's awesome. Didn't know i had bought it on the release day until like a week later.
From what I can tell I will be pre-ordering borderlands 2 soon.

Halo 4.

I don't care if it's not Bungie, 343 looks to have done a very good job with evolving the series whilst staying true to its core.
