I've found on multiple occasions that, even in games I otherwise disliked, there was one mode/cheat/mini-game that kept me playing it for whatever reason. My one trick pony?

Two words man: Bail Mode. The object of Bail Mode? Rack up score by beating your rider senseless. Good times. Tell me your one trick pony.

I've lost interest in GTA games but the murderous rampages with cheats will always leave some enjoyment for me in the game.

I didn't hate the game but I constantly played Jedi Knight II to run through the 1st level to play with all powers, the lightsaber, and the Console cheats.

I am not a big fan of racing games and Burnout 2 was not a particularly good racing game (though not a bad one either admittedly). But the multiplayer crash mode that allowed 2-4 players to try and cause the biggest accident possible kept my friends and me playing for several months because of how fun it was.

I remember playing a Tony Hawk game back in the day mainly for the flying skateboard cheat. I otherwise couldn't stand the game but that cheat was too much fun.

Sonic Adventure 2 was pretty mediocre. I mean I loved it, but I can recognize a shit game for a shit game when I fall through the ground inexplicably. However I spent hours upon hours raising those little chao fucks...
Oddly enough, a friend of mine loved "those little chao fucks" too. We used to argue how exactly you pronounced chao...

"Chow" but I always called them "Chay-oh" because "Chow" sounds stupider.
I USED TO LOVE CHAO SO MUCH.
It was once my goal in life to raise Chaos Chao. Really, it was.

After i had completely done everything possible to do in oblivion... three or four times i started my murderous rampages. I would just reset after i fealt i had left a big enough pile of bodies in any one city; then i thought one day what if i could reduce my major traits? I could start leveling again. So i got my crusader up another 5 levels before that got boring and decided to retire my ES:4 disc until i got a huge urge.(almost had all my attributes up to 100 except luck)

Man I love my "little chao fucks". I actually have a memory card that nobody is allowed to play on because ever chao on it has certain breeding rules and can only be touched by certain people.

Also, Medal of Honor: Rising Sun. I liked the game but the multiplayer kept me coming back. I liked how you could play by yourself (with bots) which I think more FPSs these days need. Plus the first time I played it me and my friend went up against the hardest bot in the game. The music made it so tense and then one of use would just drop dead which set the whole mood and made me really love the game.

after I lost interest in GTA: San Andreas, then, I discovered the jump cheat, and I must say, jumping, and then landing on a low building, or on the freeway above is rewarding.

I played Dungeon Keeper 2 for a very long time before figuring out that "Pet Dungeon" wasn't the real game.

Then I tried the real game, found it lacking, and went back to Pet Dungeon.

Oblivion

Whenever I get bored and don't have anything to do, I set it up and download/create a mod.

Godzilla Destroy all Monsters with the "throw any buliding" cheat, because then I can throw the Seattle space needle like a javelin at another monster, and that alone can make it awesome.

Either GTA: Vice City or San Andreas. I got tired of the story pretty quickly, but the cheats to lower your wanted level, and for flying cars, provided my friends and I with endless hours of fun. The best thing to do was to see who could go the longest with a 6 star wanted level with the weapons cheats on.

Assassin's Creed 1

I know, not a bad game, but it is just so funny to watch a random person walk up to a pile of dead bodies in a random street, say "This is a bad omen." then casually walk away as I slowly creep up on him and stab him in the back.

I literally did this for hours then the game started to bug out. bodies started spazing out, stretching in all sorts of demonic manners then fly into the atmosphere.
