Your opinion on Video Game Nudity

I am from The Netherlands and we have no censorship over nudity. In every dutch movie you see the actors have sex in a almost soft-porn kind of way. I never felt this was a bad thing because sex is not a bad thing. I have never understood why people think sex is bad.

A game with violence gets a 12+ rating but a little bit of sex and it immediately gets a 18+ rating.

I believe it is better the other way around. I even believe the whole 12+ isn't even necessary.
I have seen sex in movies my whole life because of were i life and it hasn't damaged me in any way.

Sex is normal!!! just as normal as eating, sleeping or having a conversation.

If it is there for a reason sure but I (being 14) have a lot of friends who would get games just for the nudity which I honestly do not get whatsoever since it is pixels? I say yes though because maybe if they add nudity frequently people like that will stop and so will the media (same media with the whole OMG MASS EFFECT PORN fiasco) and people will actually mature a bit.

I think nudity is fine in games afterall youve got it all over the internet and a ALOT more people go on that. People have the choice of buying games if they want a game with nudity in it then they should be aloud it XD

If it's tastefully done and is actually important to the story, like in Mass Effect, then nudity in games is fine by me; that's pretty much my view of it in films as well. If, however, they just throw it in for no other reason than "because they can", like in The Lost and Damned, then I think it's completely pointless.

as long as the storyline can support it. just throwing in some random nudity because they can would get kind of annoying.

People that are bashing games for their sexual content and not for their violent content have really not understood that it's okay to "make" people, not to "unmake" them...

The line between whats art and whats stupid is too thin i think. For the most part, nudity in games is just there to make the controversial, never to help the story along in anyway.

hmph. the god of war series had loads of nudity. somehow the gow series has managed to avoid controversy.
ah well. i am indifferent to virtual nudity. mass effect had none and it still got f-ing flamed.
not much nudity is in video games. sure you get h- games but there (usually) isnt any

I dont like nudity in video games becuase its immoral, its against Jesus and it could turn my children into rapists and murderers.

I'm just kidding, I'm fine with video game nudity, I mean why not, Sex is far more pleasant that killing, but I would rather it have something to do with the plot, Farenheight was a good example of having it for the plot, the game also suprisingly got away very lightly for it, in fact I'm not sure if there was any contraversy at all on that game, even with it showing nipples and having a sex mini games, this game was alos a 15 too. Mass effect is also a good example, but this did spark some stupid controvercy, I think some one even said that you could rape any one you wanted in the game, my, my,my there are some idiots in this world.

I also wouldnt be turned off and I wouldnt greatly mind rape being in a game, but not at random, If it had some thing darastic to do with the plot then I'm all for it, also I just wouldnt have the main character or any of the good guys doing it other wise it breaks the morality of the game, but say if your heros girlfreind or best freind does then it gives your chracter some extra ground to being the good guy and getting the basterd who did it.

It's all good so long as it's relevant to the plot.

Meh. Can't say I really think it's all that necessary. I could understand it in some games, and if tastefully done then I could get behind it, but nudity just for sex appeal? No thanks, all that does is send out another message that video games are immoral and immature.

I believe it should be allowed as long as it helps the storyline or should be there like if your in a game where your allowed to make relationships with many people in real life you might sleep with one or at least see one of them naked so why cant you in a game as long as you rate it appropriately. I live in Michigan where you have to be +18 to buy a M game so why would it not be allowed if your young your parents know what your playing or at least what your buying. If you make a controversy over it your just making more people want to put more in their games to get more press coverage.

I think a lot of people miss the point of video game nudity, I mean after all, at the end of the day its just a bunch of Pixels on the screen/monitor. If those who have a problem with that would just loosen up a bit and stop being so damn puritan, the world would be a better place.

Provided as it's not excessive as already stated, should be fine.
I bring the examples of Morrowind/Oblivion. I forget their exact ratings (I think Oblivion was MA though) but they had mods adding nudity that could have been done originally.

If the rating lists it, people have no right to *****.
