Recently with the Metroid Prime: Federation Force outrage, Nintendo has been saying "You'll enjoy it once you play it. Trust us". But a lot of people has stated that they have lost trust on Nintendo. Assuming you have lost it too (I mean trust), which Nintendo games made you say "I can't trust Nintendo anymore!" after playing them?

The many many third party games released in the Wii that tried desperately shoe horn in the motion controls and then them either not work or just be so counter intuitive to use that I would quickly give up on them and go back to playing my old Gamecube games on it. Not to mention the metric shit ton of party games that ended up landing on the system because they were just about the only thing that worked with the controls.

So yeah, pretty much anything on the Wii. There were a few games that worked, RE4 and Super Mario Galaxy were good but I struggle to remember much more than that.

I never really trusted Nintendo, since their games never spoke to me as much as other non-Nintendo games. So I guess, games like Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, Resident Evil 2, and Metal Gear Solid made me not trust Nintendo.

They can still make great games, just not enough for me to warrent purchasing every new console they release. Luckily the Wii-U has backwards compatability so I can play the one game worth owning a Wii for (Super Mario Galaxy).

Basically everything from the Wii up. Too much shovelware. It's not that I don't trust 'em so much as I'm not interested.

I don't think Federation Force will be good. But to say you don't trust Nintendo because of it is ridiculous. Their software output on the Wii U and 3DS has been pretty excellent imo.

I see the "I lost my trust at nintendo" people as very, well, for a lack of a better description, Bob type people. Who want Nintendo to just repeat the same games from their childhood over and over (which to be fair, were trained to it by Nintendo). Thus ,every small change warrants over-exaggeration with the added irony that those people will buy the game regardless and do the same thing when another game isn't to their liking.
You know, Nintendo hasn't lost my trust because they didn't religiously stick to what I knew.

They lost my trust because their replacement for what I knew blows donkey chunks.

OT: Metroid Other M followed by the eight years of silence on Metroid. Just admit you don't fucking care about the IP Nintendo, be honest with me.

Gameplay wise I never lost any faith in Nintendo. Pretty much every game they release is of consistent quality and I never have any doubts of what to expect when a new game comes out.

Its the marketing aspect that I have lost some faith in since Nintendo doesn't always seem to be know what they are doing. Nintendo's pr is sometimes pretty messed up as well. ''Be thankful for what you have'' one of their guys said about Metroid. The problem is Metroid fans NOT having anything at this point! Nintendo expecting to get away with only a token effort in federation force isn't helping either.

Uh, none of 'em. They've had a few missteps, and a few of my favorite franchises have been dormant for some time, but their standard for quality is consistently excellent, and I'm still on board for future projects. It's gonna take a lot more than a few flops and a spin-off to get me off the Nintendo wagon.

Nothing. I still trust them to make good games. In fact I am sure that the this new Metroid spin-off will be a fine game in it's own right, even if not Metroid enough.

None, because they've been the most consistent company in terms of quality in the industry bar none. It's rather telling when the most damning attempts to criticize them amount to little more than petty BS.

To be fair, they've got alot of shit to criticize when it comes to how they're starting to use Amiibos by locking some game modes and other non-cosmetic things behind specific ones that are already difficult to find. As well as some of their attitudes towards the internet and their stuff.

But as far as their games go, I can trust them to be good. Mario, Zelda, DK, Smash, they'll always be good in some respect(Skyward Sword and Brawl obviously being the exceptions along with possibly some of the newer Mario Bros games). I can trust Nintendo to have enjoyable games for their systems, even if their libraries have somewhat shrunk the last two consoles or so more than I can nearly every other companies for the most part. Nothing to complain about when the box actually tells you what the game's like more often than most too.

None for me too. They make missteps for sure(the Amiibo situation has been iffy all around), but I feel Nintendo's games are the last thing one can say are somehow untrustworthy. Very rarely do Nintendo games come out rushed, full of glitches, or just plain incomplete due to locking out a lot of content through paid DLC. Even with their recent push for paid DLC, they still put out full games, and the DLC is usually made long after the game came out, just to give it some longevity.

As for Federation Force, I am hoping it's a great game, just out of spite for everyone who lost their minds when it was announced. I want a new proper Metroid game too, but Federation Force does not deserve all the hatred since it's not exactly what everyone wants. The studio making it has done great work in the past, I will wait till we know more before deciding if the game is good or bad.

Why should I "care"? If they make a good game I buy it, if not then I don't buy it, why should I treat Nintendo like some idol? Especially bizzare, since the game didn't release and you already say it's gonna suck.
No one is treating Nintendo like an idol, I don't know why you bring it up.

A game that throws out everything that gave the original its charm, looks like it's been severly scaled down, gimmicky, and has European football as a main selling point? I feel comfortable in saying it looks like shit. And question, if all the advertisements, which were supposed to get me interested in the game, instead make me hate it, then that tells me that the features Nintendo puts front in center and want to show off don't appeal to me.

I feel very comfortable in saying this game looks like shit, because it does. Especially considering that the last game Nintendo made fucked up Samus character before being followed by eight years of silence. Nintendo has run out of good will with me.

The Wii-exclusive Rabbids video games... Oh wait...

Other than that, I'm having a hard time trying to think of games, let alone any game, that has made me not trust Nintendo in general... and even the one's that I could "see" it being the last straw for some people I've either never played it myself or I'm too late to the party to feel that way in the first place...

You can't blame the system for shovelware, the PS2 had a huge amount of shovelware and the PS1 before it as well, both however live on in a rather positive light today.

Shovelware always diverts to the most popular console of the time, and when that console has a hugely popular gimmick to it, that just multiplies the issue.

The Wii. I mean. Just. The entire system and almost everything on it. For specific games... Skyward Sword, Metroid: Other M, Link's Crossbow Training, Most Mario Games, the abundance of shovelware.

I mean. Bleh. Also the bullshit of new versions of the DS every other year.

It goes without saying That I wasn't particuarly ensnared by Any of its games. Nothing made Me go "Oh I have to get a Wii".

Well it usually the way with nintendo consoles, if you're not a fan of their first party titles your choices are few and far between, personally my Wii collection is full of titles I enjoyed, including a few lesser known titles like Mad world or the original little kings story.
