Your Personal Hell

Now I should start off by saying, as an atheist, I think the notion of Hell to be ridiculous, but I have thought a lot about it. So my question to you, Escapists, is "What would you describe as your personal Hell", it can be a place, a situation, or even both

For me it has to be Middlesbrough

My personal hell involves a lot of misogynistic rap "artists", annoying cheesy unimaginative pop music, MLP fans and Twilight fans.

Being swamped with projects/homework/tests on the same day. Although this is regularly caused by my ability to procratinate a lot.

Having my mom pissed off. It's usually my sisters that regularly does this, but my mom gets on my case about something whenever she's in POB(Pissed Off *****) mode and I then feel threatened and scared for my life. Hell hath no furry of that of a pissed off mother.

Somewhere in South Carolina, down a red dirt road where I used to live but can't remember where. But, it was on a farm, and devoid of any other forms of life such as other human beings. You had to have a car to go see other people. You had to boil and store your water if you wanted to use it and we slaughtered our own food. I'm glad I learned how to be self sufficient but never again!

Chronic pain of any kind and living in a location with concentrated populations.

I need my space and I can't handle being around groups of people (even if they are people I know). If any of you have ever been to a major city where on a green light there are probably 50+ people walking the crosswalk...being in that kind of environment is my personal hell.

When doing group activities at school for example: We has a "Western Day" we got a non uniform day and since my school is ridiculously small (150 people AND it goes all the way from kindergarten to grade 12) we have lots of school activities. We all have our own 'houses'(teams) and we then do really dumb games, I get that it's for the little kids but I HATE IT it is a compulsory thing aswell. I tried just not joining in and staying in the library once, listening to my music, didn't work, the teachers made me join in dancing to shitting music ¬.¬

So yeah that's my personal hell fun games for little kids that I have to join in for the sake of 'team spirit'. fuck team spirit ¬.¬

You wake up in a strange place. You try to open your eyes but the light is bright and you have to keep your eyes closed. In a few seconds, you try to squint to get an idea where you are. You find out that you're in a small room, ten by ten feet. You can hear only the buzz of the single fluorescent light bulb. After getting a grasp of your situation, you notice there is a stereo system set up with speakers in each corner of the room. You get up and investagate the strange object. You poke and prod until you press the play button.

"Baby, Baby, Baby, oh Baby! Baby, Baby, Baby, oh Baby!..."

The song is unbearably loud and on loop. With one hand over one ear, you try to turn the stereo off with your other hand. But nothing is working, the song keeps replaying the same line over and over.

The song has playing for what seems like days. You are unsure how long you can take it...

That is my hell.

what'd be worse was if there was a large amount of fiction to read but you can't understand it, for example classic literature in extremely small print and Mandarin Chinese... THE HORROR

or all the books there are just autobiographies of "celebrities" like Justin Bieber or Snooki
