"People are not smart. Individuals are smart. 'People' are stupid."

And if you put spaces between each line, it becomes a haiku! :D
I'd agree, but I'm quoting Margaret Mead here when I say: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world." It's the same basic point, but I think your version would work better if you use a synonym for people to discribe "the masses at large", rather than the plural of person. To list an example for Margaret Mead's quote, think of the Brothers Wright.
I follow what you mean; it's just that my personal use of "people" is mainly used to imply the masses at large, i.e. "people say (expression)". Besides, I like how it's haiku-able. =P

"Fuck you Mr. -insert name of object that has hindered me-"

I started saying that after I read 'Johnny the Homicidal Maniac' by Jhonen Vasquez. The scene that sparked my quote was when Johnny is yelling at Squee's teddy bear. "FUCK YOU MR. BEAR"

"When something can mean anything to anyone, then it means nothing at all."

This is why people who say "art is subjective" piss me off so much. If anything can be art depending on a person's personal opinion, then there is no such thing as art, the word loses all meaning, and all discussion on the subject of "art" becomes pointless. Similarly, this is why I never stood for the Pledge of Allegiance in high school. Flags are symbols that hold very different meanings in the eyes of different people, and it seems wrong to show such reverence to something that doesn't represent any concrete values.

"If it's Opposite Day, it would be the opposite of Opposite Day thereby negating Opposite Day." So take that, 8-year-old kid.

"I will kill your family. And eat them."

I don't have a quote. I just look to the skies whenever I need to reaffirm my values. If I happen to feel put out, or have some manner of grievance, it helps to simply put it into perspective.

...Actually, I think someone has a quote to fit this sentiment.

"Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space."- Douglas Adams

For me, by me and from me: "You know you have found true perfection not when you find that which is flawless, but that which, despite its flaws, you would not wish to have any other way" - Me.
That's fantastic.

OT: I say "Give me strength." far too often for there to be room for much else, and that one's definitely not the product of my invention.
Wait, fantastic for a good quote, or sarcasm because of the trademarking dripping off every side of it :p

I never can tell without italics in these ambiguous situations...
And now you'll never know!
*GASP!* You fiend!
[sub]...He lived alone, in agony, in a small hut, dedicating his life to this one problem... was he serious... After eighty years of pondering, and at the brink of a conclusion... The constipation of eighty years took his life.[/sub]

Here is another: The only way to perceive my insanity as cured is for you to succumb to it yourself.

Yes! I've always lived with that but not been sure how to word it.

But for me:

"Win if you can, lose if you must - always cheat."
At your service then :) I like trying to make little aphorisms like these and various other such things, not that I'm too good at it :p

And the second one is my philosophy for single player games with big guns that are too satisfying to use XP

I'm going to patent that sh-t for future history books. You watch me!
Is this another anti-Swiss one XP
Kinda like "the hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in times of moral crisis, retain their neutrality". I know I said that wrong, but point stands.

For me, by me and from me: "You know you have found true perfection not when you find that which is flawless, but that which, despite its flaws, you would not wish to have any other way" - Me.
My quote isn't anti-Swiss. It's anti-"I'm staying out of this one, let them fend for themselves".

I like your quote. :)
I know, hence the ":p", but when the version I told you was said... anti-swiss was putting it mildly :p You could also say that I was the anti-swiss one for noticing the resemblance and the neutrality connection...
>.>
<.<
...
I am not anti-Swiss though, I like teh cheeze and chocolate!

Why thank-you :)

EDIT: Another one: Thou akin to myself who dareth triple post shall face a shame most unholy and insane, and for their heinous crimes they shall feel the tickle-tortures pain!
Don't tickle me, please.

Ladies and gentlemen, step right up and immortalise your very own quoted in this here thread of quotes, that is, ones you've made yourself.

To start off!

"There's nothing more infuriating than silence and I'm not sure why."
Science is a tool, and while it is a great tool, it is easily misused in arrogant hands. Keep humble, keep questioning, and realize that we are all small, yet God has put us here for a reason"
or
" I simply want to say that we all make mistakes, and that when you learn from them, and better the world, then those mistakes are valuable."
or
"for what biological, or chemical answer could we give to explain somethig so precious, and so meaningful as things like Love, God, or Friendship, for these things are not like any element, or cell, or force we have ever seen in human history"
Thats not so much a quote as it is an argument now is it?

I know right? How can we hold anything against the Swiss? They give us so much good! Swatches, banks for corrupt people to stash their money in to avoid tax and divorce money, Horse shows (which I do my best to avoid), Beautiful scenery and so much more!

Here's another personal quote of mine:
"Meow."
It's short and sweet. Yet it encompasses to much of what life has to offer; Cats.

"Someone quote me on this, I want to feel important." - Me.

Yes, I'm serious. Please quote me. XDD

Another one, which I said in relation to me eating a peach, and someone saying I looked like Light from Death Note while eating it (what?)

I'll take this peach *munch* AND EAT IT!

The frst and last were based off of albert einstein, I liked the quote, It's like the quote that TheAceTheOne used based off a kira quote, here are the quotes if ya don't believe me:

"No, this trick won't work...How on earth are you ever going to explain in terms of chemistry and physics so important a biological phenomenon as first love?"
thats #3's father

"My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind."
Thats #1's father.
what do you mean by it's an agruement? If thats so, then the john lennon quote
" When I was young my mom told me to be happy. When I went to school and they asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up, I put happy down. They told me I didn't understand The assignment, I told them they didn't understand life" is an arguement
Now what did I do that was so arguementative? This way i can go fix it

I've been working in kitchens for 14 years. I'd suggest the relative state of my sanity as being non-existent.

Consider yourself cured.
