I currently have a Mytouch3g, its served me pretty well, but I have no real emotional connection to it. Its been screwing up a lot more lately, so it's on its way out. The key board has been especially screwy, and annoying.

What I'm looking for now is this

The Sidekick II was my favorite phone, and I'm taking a gamble on this one being a bit more fun than the myTouch, especially with the camera calls and the keyboard... god I've missed a phsycical keyboard.

I got a Sony Ericsson "Natie" got it pretty cheap on Media Markt. But I am still trying to get a working Nokia 3310, fucking impossible to find...
hmm, got about 5 of those lying around somewhere.. Used that one for a while till I got tired of the 6 message memory. Don't know if I got a working battery though..
As I remember they got enough memory for a bunch of sms:es... I remember how I played space invaders on it, bad times.... bad times...

Motorola Droid X. It's my portable baby. Use it constantly. It has a -bit- of an overheating problem, but nothing too serious. Especially if you have a task killer on it. That'll keep it running fairly well.
I ended up getting a Blackberry Torch because I couldn't get a Droid X. I did quite a lot of research and it is definitely the best phone out there (the Droid X). OP, Hold off if you can though for the X2. I'd still recommend the Torch too though - only thing is I can't find a media player that doesn't have tiny pauses between tracks, though admittedly, I haven't looked that hard.

It's a seven year old Nokia that have about 7 minutes worth of talk from fully changed battery. But it coves my need perfect so I see no reason to get a new.

Have an HTC Desire HD and I really like it! Don't know about the IPhone, but I would never buy anything from apple ever!

Motorola droid 2. Love it, but it does have a tendency to freeze up every now and then. The simple solution is just to restart it.

HTC Evo. I just got it, and I love this thing. Large Screen, a workable touch screen keypad, and all the things that make the Android great 9Without the problems, like Samsung's OS updating problems).

It does, however, have some power issues. But I have chargers all over the damn place, so it's not a problem for me.

However, OP, if your looking for an HTC, wait a bit. HTC is about to drop 3 new Evos, among other models.

I've had my Droid Incredible for about a year now.

Honestly, I couldn't imagine living without it now. It's just so... useful. I can't count the number of times I've had to use it for emergency internet access for class-related stuff. It probably saved my grade in two classes last semester, when I had a bad habit of waiting until 5 minutes before class to look up some definitions I was supposed to turn in.

The original droid. I like it, but I regret hastily buying it when a billion better versions came out shortly after. I think I'd like the iPhone, but I refuse to buy apple products on principal. Their commercials are quite possibly the most pretentious pieces of media ever made.

"If you don't have an iPhone, well... you just don't have an iPhone." UGH.

LG Optimus, its alright, still getting used to the touch screen, it's a little bit fiddly. But it's good. I can make calls from it, which is still the only thing I care about in a phone.

Mines an LG cosmos. Its pretty good. Though I always liked an alias more, because you can flip up, then flip out for a keyboard. and there's nothing like slamming a phone so people know you're done with them.

...is some kind of 2009 Sony Ericsson model I never learned the name of, the SIM is locked and I have no credit. Seriously, it's been relegated to the duty of getting me up in time for school every day, because me and my friends have a routine so it's redundant.
