So look it's another Skyrim thread. But this is about something I've noticed in myself and probably occurs in other players. My main character seems to have developed a few weird personality quirks solely by the way I play.

Books, my character is obssessed with books, to the point where I moved houses just for more shelf space. Everytime I find books I have to think if I have a copy at home, if I'm not sure I take it, better safe than sorry, especially with numbered volumes. Whenever an enemy has a good selection of books, I somehow can't not admire them a little despite how evil they are. Boy I had fun raiding the Thalmor embassy's study.

My character won't go into caves or crypts alone, ever. I alway have to have a companion if I'm tomb raiding, otherwise I'm a nervous wreck. Mainly because I'm so loot focused I don't watch for enemies. A companion watchs my back and warns me for trouble.

Finally I won't ever travel at night, this is a mostly practial thing, but I also have to find an inn and sleep there. Somehow I've unintentionally ended up roleplaying day and night cycles pretty well.

So what are you're weird character quirks you've developed?

I simply cannot pass by a mining spot without breaking out the pickaxe. It's just not possible. I was actually mining some iron ore once, and a dragon attacked, but I just kept right on clinking away as he roared furiously and flew circles around me. I was all, "Yeah, yeah, I see you. Shut up, though, I'm BUSY."

The only really "weird" quirk I've developed on my one character is that I have a compulsive need to slay dragons whenever I see them.

Now normally this isn't a bad thing, but I already have every Word for every Shout in the game, fully charged, and (at time of writing) a surplus stock of 31 Dragon Souls. Really, spending 20 minutes running after a dragon to agro it, then another 20 minutes getting to its corpse because it tried to fly away and I killed it with a Flame Breath shout is a bit excessive.

I also have a tendency to randomly Shout as I'm walking along. Doesn't matter where, I'll just randomly turn and fire a three-word Fire Breath or Unrelenting Force off. It's gotten me in trouble in towns every once in a while.

No, Raj have no quirks. Pretty normal person.

Other then when on moonsugar. Or Skooma.

Ok, Raj have many bad habits. Cant help but eat everything pick up. "What giants toe taste like? BLARG! Taste like Damage Stamina!"

Raj also collects Buckets. Wife Mjoll complain. "Why you must have room full of buckets!?!?" she always ask. "What if person want to steal Raj bukkit? Must have many in case they do!" i tell her. She not understand.

Worst habit of all? Raj hate wearing helmet. To confining. So when combat start, Raj not get any armor bonus. Get butt kicked because leather hood cramp style.
Make me look like necrophiliac. Raj not want to look like necrophiliac!
Time he sleep with corpse was complete accident. Honest.

..... Should probably lay off sweetroll. They make Raj do strange things. Stick to moonsugar from now on.

My character has an insect obsession. He will go out of his way to catch the butterfly, to catch that torchbug! He once stopped in the middle of a fight with a dragon because he saw a butterfly.

Also he has a drinking problem. Ends up at the Winking Skeever far too often. Muiri, his wife, is a bit concerned but she generally manages him, and she doesn't argue as she loves him, and loves living in proudspire manor.

My two mains are clothing obsessed. Every time I see a nice pair of boots or clothes, I take them and carry them with me, even if I need drop enchanted weapons to do so. I know damn well I won't ever wear them, but I still do, as if I've gotten into some subconscious cycle of changing clothes everyday in game. Either that or I'm turning into the Sterotypical woman.
"Oooh these shoes look nice, I'll just drop this enchanted Greatsword so I can take them with me."

My Dunmer has a tendancy to take people's books and practices both Destruction and Conjuration, but in the former uses purely fire based spells. He also won't take off his hood in Windhelm.

My Nord is obsessed with honour and valour. Since fighting his first Draugr in Bleak Falls Barrow he's become somewhat obsessed with finding a warrior to best him in battle, undead or otherwise. After completing the Red Eagle mini-quest he admires the man of legend and frequently visits his resting place to honour him. Also he doesn't take loot from any burial chambers.

the compulsive need to arrange dead bodies into amusing poses? I suppose that would count as a quirk.

I swear there needs to be a CSI version of an Elder Scrolls games

"So whats the situation?"
"As far as I can tell chief, the killer looted the bodies of all their clothes and weapons, then carefully arranged them into several humiliating and possibly sexual poses"
"My god we're dealing with a real sicko"

My character is a wood elf who likes to steal money from beggars, and refuses to use magic.

If we were still able to name classes, I'd make a Dickhead class just for him.

Also I never ride horses anymore, bandits killed one and the other disappeared. So I hoof it everywhere. Especially useful as I don't lose followers this way.

With my first character, I had only one rule, not to steal anything from Halls of the Dead or Divine Temples. No particular reason, stole from everywhere else.

This character I've been using the Wolf Armor in favor of much stronger armor, simply because he is currently the Harbringer of the Companions and that is their armor. Well, it helps that it looks very cool. It's the equivalent of Steel Armor, except significantly lighter. (Still considered heavy, but the weight is down considerably.) Also I've been using Wuuthrad about 90% of the time, but that's more for it's usefulness than anything else.

If you do the Dark Brotherhood quests, you get an immortal demon horse. Really useful for those "My god, my horse just charged a giant" moments.

Also, horses should reappear next to you if you fast travel somewhere (excepting into walled cities, then they appear in the stables).

My character isn't a big horse lover. He doesn't hate them, but he's ridden half a dozen to death, and probably lost a half dozen more to giants, dragons, sabre cats and the like.

He's also pretty assertive: he uses Odahviing as his *****, even if it's only to clean up a couple of mudcrabs.

Morally upright though: wiped out the Dark Brotherhood and refused to get involved in the thieves guild whatsoever. The one time he stole something, he stopped, approached a guard, and essentially asked to be taken in.

Finally, he hates the Thalmor with a passion. Skyrim's roads are as safe as they've ever been, unless you're an Altmer, in which case you're pretty much screwed. He also goes and wipes out everyone in the Thalmor embassy occasionally, just for shits and gigs.

Yeah I know it's just I'm roleplaying a pretty heroic guy so I think I'm going to wipe them out and I'll join the Dark Brotherhood on another save. When I lost my horse I think what happen was it got killed and I couldn't find the body.
