I don't really have much of a social life. Despite being 16 I don't have a driver's license. I despise sports events so I never go to any of those, I'm too much of a pussy to go to a party, and the only person I can ever get to go to the movies with me is my Mom.

I spend most of my days at home, pretending to be productive. It's a pretty good life, but part of me feels like I'm wasting my youth.

I used to have a very active and fun social life, partying and doing cool stuff with a lot of people, until I moved to America away from all my friends, now I just sit around and play games and listen to indie music.

I'm hear to join most of the rest of the people in this thread in the painful realization of my total and utter lack of a social life. Seriously, the last time I intentionally hung out with somebody was probably half a year ago.

I try to avoid my friends when I'm not at school/protests/places I have to be. I prefer being alone as often as I can, so if I don't HAVE to be around other people, then I won't be. Although, on the whole, I guess I have a fairly balanced social life - I go out on weekends and after school, and then hibernate in my room alone whenever I can. It's probably an unhealthy habit.

what?
you're asking internet trolls what they do in their free time?
What makes you think we are trolls? (obvious self avatar joke)

My social life consists of going out and doing whatever with my friends, whenever I am not procrastinating in front of my pc. I am actually the self proclaimed King of Procrastination.
lol
I was about to proclaim my self king of procrastination but I kept putting it off

I used to have no social life whatsoever but that's slowly changing. I spend time with friends at least once a week now, usually more than once and get invited to many more parties than I used to.

I attend school, catch a movie once in a while, hang out with friends, attend a concert every so often, and when I'm at home I practice my bass guitar, read, play tribal wars, and scour the internet for interesting shit.

I'd have to say that mine is pretty good. I go out fairly often, so yeah.

Sadly, I've begun loosing my social life. It may be induced by depression but still, it has gone down quite a lot compared to what it used to be.

Most of my social life is at school. It's still the holidays for me, so I'm not seeing my friends very often.

My social life is facebook lurking and meeting a close friend or two at the mall once a month or so, being occasionally mesmerized by the atmosphere and realness of everything, thinking maybe I should get out more, then going home to the internet where I don't even bother signing in on msn or skype most of the time these days. No school anymore, so there goes forced interaction.

I've made quite a few friends at school having been a wanderer from group to group, but I find it hard to assert myself in typical group situations and not feel like a tag-along. I have a quiet voice and natural awkwardness. I used to get this weird unexplainable feeling sometimes, I think it's called malaise, I've noticed in recenter years I've been getting it only in social situations.

I'm not as uptight and self-conscious as I used to be (I can actually eat normally in public and look certain people in the eye!). I've sort of danced a little (albeit probably with an "I don't usually dance I'm probably just humoring your all" vibe) and do weird things without caring, I'm relaxed. But overall it's not often that I immerse myself and interact with my environment to get the most out of things.

I also have an aversion to commitment sometimes. Starting a conversation with that person is committing a certain amount of time to them until it's socially acceptable to break the conversation off. It makes me a bit uneasy. I can go without being with people for a while so long as there's the prospect of being with people and I can fantasize.

I wish my friends went to protests. What they do is walk around shops, eat, try things on, complain they look fat when they're not, buy useless overpriced junk on a whim, and complain they have no money. I guess it's good to have a few nice friends to just talk about light hearted things with, but I wish I was a part of something with a sense of purpose.

I might sound a bit defeated and whiny, I better go do something with myself, haha. I'm not that self-absorbed <_<

I never had a social life until i was about 17 then i actually spoke to people.

But to be honest the people i became freinds with are fairly dull. All they are interested in drinking at the weekend. NOTHING during the week. I need a bit of veriety and excitement in my life, i don't want to live in Groundhog Day.

Plus they have no interest in trying to speak to new people or females so any chance of me meking new friends or meeting a girl when i'm with them is quite low.
I feel like I know you, like we've been living the same life...That's just surreal.

I never had a social life till I was about 16, when I was dragged out by one of my friends at school. The group used to be pretty big back then and it used to be a laugh.

One by one the group began to fall away untill only 3 of us were left. We do nothing during the week, at the weekends if we do meet up it's to drink. I have no confidence, the other guy of the 3 has no confidence and the girl is quite happy with the group as it is. As a result, we don't meet/talk to new people and meeting a girl is a virtual imposibility.

It's left me feeling quite hollow to be honest, that for so many years now everything has been the same, hell when we do go out it's always to the same bar.
Yep same thing. Dragged out by friends, we had a big group to begin with, all had a laugh and slowly people began to just leave(this one guy fucked about 3 girls in our group so they all fell out with each other).

Which has left the rest of us just hanging out mainly because we feel like we have too. I text and phone people all the time but get the old "i'm tired/can't be bothered" routine.

And yea we go to the same bars all the time, and usually the ones that are full of old drunk men which just make me fell pathetic, haha. But do you get the awkward silence when you realise you've been at the pub for an hour, and barley spoke to each other because you have nothing actually to talk about? I get it farrrrr to often these days.

School takes up way too much of my time. But otherwise i like to go down to the neighborhood park and practice parkour; get some exercise and fresh air. I'll hang out with friends sometimes, but I get enough of most of them at school and enjoy time to myself

I live on a beach, it's awesome, spend 90% of time there in the summer, in fact I'm only here cause it's winter, but by this time of year I'm back to my skinny, nerdy self, got some good gaming done in the recent months though. Man I can't wait for the summer.
*gasp* I now know where my life is going to go from here. I won't need a social life if I can go swimming every day!
I just thought I'd write something other than "what social life" which I've seen a dozen times on this thread.
