I would take Nights. I mean the guy is a living representation of dreams and a rogue nightmare.
I'm gonna be original and say Logan Thackeray from the upcoming Guild Wars 2. He's a well-rounded defender, healer and great fighter, and I think I'd get along with him.
My worst nightmare contained a demonic possessed Teddy Bear with sharp bloody fangs, so I guess Zengeif would be the best choice for me, what with his bear fighting and all.
I don't really have a worst nightmare... some of my more vivid dreams do take place in a land of fire and death, but its more dark fantasy-ish than nightmare-ish. (And I often have all sorts of cool powers). With that in mind, I suppose I'll bring along my Dervish from Guild Wars. He may not be the most social guy, but he's bested just about every sort of demon and monster you can think of, with a dark god thrown in for good measure.
I'd take Dante from Devil May Cry, mostly because I'd feel pretty safe even in hell with the guy who slayed many a demon lord by now, real or self proclaimed.
Its a tie between James Sunderland (Silent Hill 2) and Richard Fabulous (The name for my Persona 3/4 protagonist).
James because of his stupid courage and determination and his ability to solve some wacky puzzles.
The Persona 3/4 Protagonist because, maybe I just want the worlds best friend to talk to.
And all of them share the ability to not give a flying fuck about anything that happens. (For the most part)

My worst nightmare involves my perception of reality being skewed from dimensions ripping apart and my mind consequently trying to grasp an ad infinite amount of detail in my surroundings and going stark mad.
So i guess... maybe someone who could mindcontrol me and stop my thoughts.
Or perhaps GLaDOS to give me a sense of normality.
Or maybe the Oracle from enter the matrix to explain why its ok that everything is wrong.
Or you know, Alice from American McGee's Alice, just to help me cope.

Well, my worst nightmare is being buried alive... So I'd have to say the dude from Dig-Dug, or Link after he gets his shovel. Or anyone with a teleportation device... Indecisiveness strikes again! Can we come back to me later?
